In this course, you have learned how to identify the key areas of the IPU Menu screen and the icons necessary in managing the Sysmex® CS-2000i software. The IPU Menu Screen is the starting point for all software functions. The IPU Menu Screen consists of 3 parts: the Toolbar, the View and the Status bar. Once you have reviewed the content on this page, you may proceed to the assessment portion of the course. Toolbar The Toolbar is located across the top of the IPU Menu screen. It has shortcut buttons to display screens for all the main functions of the Sysmex® CS-2000i software. The Toolbar is always visible. Shortcut buttons: Help displays errors and action messages. An audible alarm sounds when an error occurs. The Error log key displays a list of errors STAT displays the STAT Order screen which is used to create orders for stat samples placed in the STAT Diluent table Joblist displays test orders, test state of progress, and test results for all samples, QC and calibration curves Order displays a screen used for manually ordering testing for samples, QC, and calibration curves Reagent displays a screen showing the position and status of reagents on the Reagent table and the STAT Diluent table QC Chart displays a screen that manages QC results Calib. Curve displays calibration curves Maint displays the Maintenance log with records of each month's maintenance tasks Menu closes all opened screens and displays the IPU View screen Status displays a screen with Main Unit temperature and pressures. This screen also shows the status of the rinse and waste containers, the Cuvette Hopper and the Cuvette Trash box Shutdown performs a system shutdown Stop interrupts processing Start is used to start sample analysis View The View, located in the center of the screen, contains icons to display screens for all the software functions. In addition, it is the area where the screen for the selected icon is displayed. It includes icons for many of the shortcut buttons of the Toolbar. Additional icons are located on the View area of the IPU menu screen. Icons: Logoff enables operators to log off the IPU software. Other operators then can log on Settings leads to icons used to set up and customize the Sysmex® CS-2000i system Controller displays a Reagent barcode reading icon used to test the barcode reading function of the Reagent and STAT Diluent tables Test Operation displays icons used to test Reagent barcode reading and Sample barcode reading Version Information displays the IPU software version Status Bar: The Status Bar is located at the bottom of the screen, displays the status of the Main Unit as well as error messages. Main Unit status displays the name and current status of the Main Unit with color and text Green = Ready Orange = Processing Red = Not ready Gray = Main Unit not connected Message area displays error messages Thermometer monitors the temperatures of the Main Unit Reagent monitors the volume of reagents Cuvette monitors the status of the Cuvette Hopper and the Cuvette Trash tray Rinse monitors the rinse volume Status of Host Computer displays the status of connections to the Host computer Select Next to continue. ThermometerHTML The Thermometer monitors the temperature of the reagent cooler, the reagent probe, and the sample incubation section of the Detector Unit. If any of these temperatures are out of range, the thermometer will be outlined in red. ReagentHTML The Reagent image monitors reagent volumes. If 1 or more reagents are low, it is backlit in yellow. If 1 or more reagents are running out, it is backlit in red.CuvetteHTML The Cuvette image monitors the status of the Cuvette hopper and the Cuvette trash tray. This image is backlight in yellow if either the Hopper is low on cuvettes or the Cuvette trash is almost full. The image will backlight in red if either the Hopper is empty or the Cuvette trash tray is full. RinseHTML The Rinse image monitors the rinse volume. The Rinse image is backlit in yellow if the rinse volume is low. It is backlit in red if the rinse container is empty. Status of Host ComputerHTML This area displays the status of the connection with a Host Computer. The status is indicated through color: Color Status Green Connected Orange Connection is established Red Connection impossible.
