Practical CT for SOMATOM Users: A Continuing Education Webinar Series
This series of 8 webinars will bring together a range of education topics to enhance your skills and learning. The single registration fee will give you access to all sessions.
Each session is 1 hour long and held monthly. If you are unable to attend on the day then a recorded version is included in the registration fee and will be made available to you after the session.
1. Review of Radiation: Introduction to the types and effects of radiation, photon creation for CT and dose metrics.
2. Adding limits and auditing radiation dose: Add dose alerts and notifications to protocols for ongoing dose monitoring & optimisation.
3. DE Fundamentals: Understand the fundamentals of spectral scanning; an introduction to physics principles, current technology & use cases.
4. PCCT Fundamentals: Build on existing DE knowledge to understand how photon counting provides spectral information to routine scanning, along with the dose & image quality benefits.
5. Basic ECG: Understand the principles behind an ECG trace, how to read basic patterns, and what is pertinent for a CT radiographer when scanning gated cardiacs.
6. Cardiac Artefacts: A brief look into common Cardiac Artefacts with case reviews; including Incorrect phase, breathing/motion artefact, spiral or interpolation artefact, beam hardening, etc.
7. My Exam Companion and Decision Trees: Streamline your protocols and improve workflow by harnessing My Exam Companion. By utilising decision trees, eliminate excessive protocols and tailor the workflow, scan parameters or reconstructions to each individual patient presentation.
8. Rapid Results: Optimise workflow through rapid results technology with syngo.via. Utilise alpha technology for anatomically registered reconstruction with zero-click input. Learn to configure and implement rapid-results on your local system.
This training is approved for CPD Credits with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
