MR Cardiac Imaging Advanced - AU/NZ

This course is aimed at those who have some clinical cardiac experience and wish to increase their knowledge and confidence in this specialised field. Combining lectures, demonstrations and practical exercises using our Siemens SmartSimulator software, participants will gain further insight into CMR principles and workflows. 

Topics covered include:

• ECG and BEAT Sensor triggering

• Review of cardiac imaging planes

• Functional cine imaging and volumetry, including Compressed Sensing Cardiac Cine 

• CMR flow quantification

• syngo.via MR Cardiac Analysis overview

• Morphology (dark blood) imaging

• T1, T2 and T2* mapping using Siemens MyoMaps

• Delayed enhancement imaging, including free-breathing PSIR HeartFreeze

• Perfusion imaging• CMR considerations at 3T• 3D whole heart / coronary artery imaging

• How to adapt imaging strategies for arrhythmic and poor breath-hold patients

• myExam Assist tips and tricks for CMR imaging

For those who are new to CMR, we recommend attending MR Cardiac Imaging Essentials course prior to attending this course.

This training is approved for CPD Credits with the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
