Welcome Welcome to the Customizing the Dashboard Workflow on the Atellica® Solution. A part of our day in the life of the lab series. This training is specific for lab managers or operators, who want an understanding of how this dashboard customization works. Refer to the Atellica Solution Software Overview Online Training on PEPconnect for more information on the dashboard. Introduction Hi, it’s me Sandy. I am an experienced user and I have responsibility for training others in my lab on the Atellica Solution. One of the new hires recently asked me about our dashboard and wanted a better understanding of how to customize it for specific activities. I am going to show you how I train people in my lab on the procedure for customizing the dashboard. If you are responsible for implementing changes to the dashboard layout for your system, this information will show you the steps you need to follow. However, even if you are not responsible for making changes to the dashboard layout on your system, this information will still be useful so you can understand what options are available and you can provide feedback to your Lab Manager on how to improve the efficiency of your dashboard. Let’s get started. Did You Know Did you know that customizing the dashboard is a special feature specifically for Atellica Solution? It helps us be more effective day to day by bringing the things that you use the most, right here on the first page and you can even build additional pages to do different tasks for different roles. Did you also know that there is an array of different dynamic and static tiles? You can add or remove tiles, groups and even pages. In fact, you can have up to five pages on your dashboard! You can resize the tiles and create new groups and add tiles to those groups. You can even modify the whole look. I have broken this topic of customization into several sections of live demonstration. First planning with your team and setting up the best layout for your lab’s daily functions using the Atellica Solution User Interface. Then, some wish list items by lab techs in my lab, which feature further customization by resizing tiles, creating shortcuts, moving tiles, and modifying the layout. My lab manager David also has some requests for management activity organization, so I will do a demonstration of that as well. And then without giving away all the fun you will get to try it yourself. Let’s get started. And then without giving away all the fun you will get to try it yourself. Let’s get started. Part One - Planning Get together with your team, think about lab needs, efficiency and together decide how to make the dashboard your own! Tip from me: 90 to 95 percent of your daily work should appear on your dashboard. Part One - Planning I got together with some of the key operators in my lab and had a conversation about how to make this unique and make it our own. You can do this in your own lab. Begin by thinking about how your laboratory functions? What makes the most sense from an efficiency frame of mind? We have found that 90 to 95 percent of our daily work we do should have a prominent position on your dashboard. Part One – See How We Did It We discussed our lab’s daily activities and how our layout should look and help us to be more efficient. Want to take a moment and see how we customize for these daily activities? If so, click the “Demo 1” button below to get started. Demo 1 Part One - See How We Did It I just explained how we had a discussion about our lab’s daily functions, and how our layout should look and help us to be more efficient. Want to take a moment and see how we customize for these daily activities? If so, click the demo one button below to get started. Part Two – See How We Did It Now let’s take it a step further with added customization by resizing the tiles, modifying the dashboard layout, and creating bookmarks. Demo 2 Part Two _ See How We Did It Now let’s take it a step further with added customization by resizing the tiles and modifying the dashboard layout. Also, I will show you how to create bookmarks if you need two of the same tile. I like to call it - adding some personalization or sparkle! Want to take a moment and see how we did it? If so, click the demo two button below to get started. Part Three – See How We Did It Now in our final demo, let me show you how to create a new group so that our lab manager can use it for some of his housekeeping duties such as Lot log, Review and Approve, and QC Setup. Want to take a moment and see how we did it? If so, click the “Demo 3” button below to get started. Demo 3 Part Three_ See How We Did It Now in our final demo, let me show you how to create a new group so that our lab manager can use it for some of his housekeeping duties such as Lot log, Review and Approve, and QC Setup. Final Part – Try it Yourself Exercise I hope my demonstrations and the provided discussion helped clarify these features of the dashboard. You can always go to Online Help for more information. So, are you up for the challenge of trying it yourself? Please click the “Try It” button below to get started. Try It! Final Part- Try It Yourself Exercise Ok so that wasn’t so hard, was it?
