A Cybersecurity Enhancements and Updates Feature Highlights Archiving for tube-top sample cups QC on Pack Change behavior no longer interrupts IM Maintenance activities Improved mixed level calibrator definitions Software Installation If your system is on version 1.28 or higher, you can install the new version of software yourself Highlights and Install Notes There are new Cybersecurity Enhancements and Updates in software version 1.30. Please refer to the release notes for the list and ensure that all laboratory IT personnel are aware of the information found there. The feature highlights with this software version include archiving tube-top sample cups, QC on Pack change behavior no longer interrupts IM Maintenance activities when the analyzer comes to Ready state between multiple IM maintenance activities, and improved mixed level calibrator definitions. These will be discussed in more detail later in this training. And finally, a reminder that if you are on software version 1.28 or above, you can install the software yourself without having to wait for an engineer. Updated Procedures and Features In this new release there are several updated procedures on the system. Select the tab arrows on the right to learn more about these: IM Primary Reagent Barcodes Calibrator Definitions Archiving Tube-Top Sample Cups ? IM Primary Reagent Barcodes Calibrator Definitions Archiving Tube-Top Sample Cups Updated Procedures and Features Main Layer Audio: On this slide, we’ll discuss some of the updated procedures and features with the new software. Select the tab arrows on the right to learn more about these. IM Primary Reagent Barcodes Audio: Some IM primary reagent packs now have 2 different barcode numbers: a 1D barcode on the end of the pack and a 2D barcode on the top of the pack. When manually identifying an IM primary reagent, enter the number next to the 2D barcode on the top of the pack. If there are not numbers next to the 2D barcode on the top of the pack, use the numbers on the end of the pack. Calibrator Definitions Audio: There is now improved handling of calibrator definitions for mixed use calibrators. In the previous version of software, the barcode labels for calibration levels were confusing for mixed use calibrators. With the 1.30 software, the calibrator barcode required for the assay ordered are printed clearly on the label. For example: For the LSP calibrator, ASO will print a single barcode for level 6, and IGM will print all 6 levels without requiring any intervention. Archiving Tube Top Sample Cups Audio: Samples in tube-top cups can now be archived on the Sample Handler. Samples in tube-top sample cups can be archived to routine racks in Archive zone, but cannot be archived to a dedicated archive rack. If you see that a tube-top sample cup has a Waiting to Archive status, as shown in this example, check to see if a routine rack needs to be loaded into an Archive zone. Samples in tube-top sample cups (TTSC) can be archived to routine racks in an Archive zone. Samples in TTSCs cannot be archived to a dedicated archive rack. If there are TTSCs with a ‘Waiting to Archive’ status, the cause may be that a Routine Rack needs to be loaded into an Archive zone. The Pack ID is divided into 2 lines – be sure to enter all numbers from both lines If there are not numbers next to the 2D barcode on the top of the pack, use the numbers on the end of the pack. In the software, the images on the Reagent Loading screen will now direct the operator to enter in the 2D barcode number. CH Test Definition Updates IM Test Definitions Updates New Procedures and Features Main Layer Audio: On the system there are more updated procedures and features that we will discuss on this slide. Select the tab arrows on the right to learn more about these. CH Test Definitions Audio: There is a CH Test Definition update for the RCRP calculation. In previous software, the system displayed a No Calculation flag for RCRP when results were outside the reportable range and for other reasons. RCRP generated a value within the measuring interval but flagged it as greater than the measuring interval. With the 1.30 software, the system displays the expected measurement interval flag. When RCRP values are within the measuring interval, no flag displays. Therefore, the No Calculation flag no longer automatically means outside measuring interval. If you get a No Calculation flag, you need to investigate because an issue happened that caused the system to not be able to calculate a result. This is the major change with the new CH Test Definitions, but there may be other updates that your lab should be aware of. Be sure to download and review the CH Test Definition Enhancements document to understand all the updates. IM Test Definitions Audio: When you install software version 1.30, be aware that both the Calibration Observed Ranges feature and the Accept Cal feature will be disabled for IM calibrations. If you would like to continue using these features, enable Calibration Observed Ranges in Calibration Setup and select Accept Cal in the individual assay Test Definition. If Observed Ranges are left turned off, your system will only use the Defined Ranges as part of calibration result evaluation. For more information on Calibration Observed Ranges and Accept Cal, refer to the IM Calibration Troubleshooting Online Training on PEPconnect or to the information available in Online Help. Also with the 1.30 software, there is a new configuration setting that allows you to enable or disable the Extend Cal feature. If this setting is disabled, the Extend Cal option will not be available on the Cal Due screen. With these changes, be sure to review your lab’s SOP for calibration acceptance.
