A Cybersecurity Enhancements and Updates Calibration Due Improvements Software Installation Now you can do the install yourself without waiting for an engineer if you are on software version 1.28 and above Highlights and Install Notes The major change with this release is the changes to the Product Security Documentation white paper and bulletin. There are new Cybersecurity Enhancements and Updates in software version 1.29. Please refer to the release notes for the list and ensure that all laboratory IT personnel are aware of the information found there. Also, there are improvements to Calibration Due that are featured in our new procedures section. And finally, installation, now you can install the software yourself without having to wait for an engineer. Further explanation on installation is at the end of this training as well as information on another training module on this topic. New Procedures and Features In this new release there are several new procedures on the system. Calibration Results History Purging Calibration Results Filtering QC for Multiple Reagent Packs CH TDef Mitigations New Procedures and Features Main Layer Audio: On the system there are four new procedures and features that we will discuss on this slide. Select the tab arrows on the right to learn more about these. Tab One Audio: The database archive and delete maintenance activity now includes calibration history archive and purge support. The default behavior is to archive and purge records that are older than 2 years. It is now easier to view your calibration results as they now appear as a zip file with separate text files by lot or assay. Tab Two Audio: The Calibration Results screen is now reorganized and easier to use. There is now has a current view and assay view which has replaced the today filter. Tab Three Audio: QC for Multiple Reagent Packs has been enhanced for both the creation and processing of orders. Tab Four Audio: The laboratory can consider adding mitigations for Atellica CH Analyzer to avoid reagent probe and cuvette contamination. CH Test Definition Mitigations Note: Select the X at the top of the page to return back to the course. There are some limitations and restrictions for what the operator can define for mitigations Changes to the CH Analyzer mitigations may impact your throughput Note: Before setting this up on your system please refer to both Online Help and Job Aid QC for Multiple Reagent Packs Note: Select the X at the top of the page to return back to the course. Issue: The system was only creating 1 QC order when multiple packs or wells for an assay were selected Resolution in 1.29: The system will now consistently create and process QC orders for all selected reagent packs or wells Calibration Results Filtering Note: Select the X at the top of the page to return back to the course. Calibration Results screen New filter options: Current: Calibration results for onboard reagent packs and active calibration results for reagent lots not onboard (non-expired) Assay: Calibration results for a selected assay within a date range NOTE: To view the latest calibration results, select the Result Date column heading to sort and bring the most recent results to the top of the list. Calibration Results History Purging Database Archive and Delete maintenance activity: The default setting will now be 2 years for calibration results. The setting can be changed to a value from 30 days up to 4 years The first time this activity is performed following the software update, any calibration results currently not in use and older than the configured duration will be archived and deleted The archive file will be saved as a zip file per module. File will contain separate text files by lot/assay Note: Select the X at the top of the page to return back to the course. It is important if you are concerned about losing data – make sure to export your data prior to this update. New Procedures and Features In this new release there are several new procedures on the system. Select the tab arrows on the right to learn more about these: Calibration Orders for C0 Assays Calibration Due Improvements Test Definitions A1c_E & A1c_H Flagging Enhancement ? Calibration Orders for C0 Assays Calibration Due Improvements Test Definitions A1c_E & A1c_H Flagging Enhancement New Procedures and Features Main Layer Audio: On the system there are more new procedures and features that we will discuss on this slide. Select the tab arrows on the right to learn more about these. Tab One Audio: For C0 adjust assays, you now have the ability to manually order a full pack calibration even when a C0 adjust calibration is sufficient. Tab Two Audio: The Calibration Due screen will now display all due calibrations, including C0 adjust assays with or without QC. Also, calibrations will no longer be in the Place Order status when the calibration time has past - the status will now be Scheduled. And there is improved calibration scheduling for assays with pack calibration intervals of less than 48 hours, including C0 adjust assays. The calibration schedule for these assays is now based on the configured calibration warning setting. Tab Three Audio: Test definitions have been reviewed and enhanced for version 1.29 improving the consistency of results. Please download and review the CH Test Definition Enhancements from document library for more information. Tab Four Audio: There has been an enhancement to the flagging for A1cE and A1c_H. An error will now be reported if the calculation is less than 3.8 percent or greater than 14 percent. This is even if THb and A1c components are within the individual measuring range. Calculation results out of range trigger a flag, while calculation results in range behave as they did previously. The benefit of this is a simplified report and makes it explicit as to why the result is in error. New flags can be configured for Holds. Calibrations will no longer be in the Place Order status when the calibration time has passed - the status will now be Scheduled The Calibration Warning setting is now being used both as a warning (the existing behavior for this setting) and as the trigger for calibration scheduling for short calibration assays Assays with calibration intervals < 48 hours are considered short calibration assays Assays will calibration intervals > 48 hours will still be scheduled based on the configured Scheduled Time No change for assays with calibration intervals > 48 hours. Display Changes Optimized screen usability and screen refresh Report enhancements Updates for needs Screen and Report Enhancements Operator Log Message Improvement Improved messaging in the operator event log Fonts on screen are larger Fonts have been bolded for emphasis Enhanced Visibility Display Changes On this slide we will discuss display changes. Several improvements have been made to the screen and reports. In this version there is optimized screen usability and improved screen refresh, also enhancements have been made to reports, as well updates to the Needs screen. There is improved messaging in the operator event log to give both reason and guidance. Finally enhanced visibility thru fonts that are larger on screen and that have been bolded for emphasis. ? Display Changes Acceptable Characters Equal symbol is added to the acceptable characters New Icons for Atellica Install Manager New icons for guided workflow for customer installable software feature Operator Event Messaging has been added to indicate when the IM is not in the proper state to perform volume check for capillary tubes Error Message Improvement HIL showing missing reagent HIL is not part of the assay status More Display Changes On this slide we will discuss more display changes. In this latest software version, the system has new icons in the guided workflow, for customer installable software. The equal symbol is now an accepted character in both Patient ID and Sample ID barcode acceptance. Also, operator event messaging has been added to indicate when the IM is not in the proper state to perform volume check for capillary tubes. In this latest software version, the system will display that HIL is not part of the assay status. ? Good to Know These items are good to know but do not impact your operator instructions. Tab One Audio: In this software update there will be fewer reagent volume check errors on primary reagent packs on Atellica IM modules that are installed at elevated sites, which is greater than 350 meters. The benefit includes pack pre-piercing support and reduced reagent volume check errors in these higher altitude sites. This is performed on both IM Primary and Ancillary Packs and supports onboard stability. Tab Two Audio: Worklist improvements include the Worklist Overview report. In previous software versions the overview report did not include filtering that was applied during screen sample selection. Now, Worklist Overview Reports reflect selections on screen by filter. Also, the Worklist will now display the export status while an activity is in progress. Also, the navigation to the Worklist from the system search, by inputting a partial sample ID, is behaving as expected. Tab Three Audio: The Decapper now resumes after completion of all maintenance activities, so you can get right back to processing samples. Also, the Decapper will no longer continue the process of decapping tubes when the waste drawer is open. And finally, the Decapper automatically recovers from failure to rotate errors. Tab Four Audio: Finally, there are some updates to printing features. Behavior changes include the ability to print preview and save to file for all lab evaluation studies. Also, there is no longer the need to restart the PCC for the recovery of the print preview. Continue Continue Please review all tabs before proceeding to the next section. The Sample Handler Connect will now perform pick and place processing. The SHC will retry the tube when a crush trigger error occurs. Tab Two Audio: Another good to know item that reduces intervention by the operator, is an improvement to the Direct Load. Previous behavior had the Direct Load recognizing tube top cups as a capped tube. This behavior has been mitigated in this software update. Tab Three Audio: IM Measuring Interval limit will only be available for the low value range. You can no longer make modifications to the high level range. It is important to note that you need to have the 1.28.0/1.28.1 version or higher software already on your system to install this. Tips for success: The Software Updates Guided Workflow will lead you through the steps In case the software update fails, there is a roll back feature which will automatically restore the previous software version on the system Before installing the software yourself for the first time, take the: Atellica® Solution Software Updates Guided Workflow Online Training Installable Software Information For systems already on software version 1.28 and higher, you can do the installation of version 1.29 yourself. The new software version will be delivered to your system via Smart Remote Services (or SRS) and then you use the Software Updates Guided Workflow to follow the steps to install it on your system. In case the software update installation fails, there is a roll back feature which will automatically restore the previous software version on your system. Before installing the software yourself for the first time, we recommend that you take the Atellica Solution Software Updates Guided Workflow Online Training.
