This job aid provides instructions for replacing a reagent bottle on the on the Atellica® HEMA 570/580 analyzer.

Before replacing any reagent, you must stop the analyses 5 by selecting Pause racks on the vertical bar Supply Remaining Status 2. From the home screen, navigate to Reagents and HEMA RET/PLTO 83 % Change consumables HEMA HGB 85 % Change Start racks 3. Select the Analyzer tab HEMA Diff 0 % 4 Low Change 4. The reagent indicator shows one of the following statuses: HEMA Cleaner 72 % Change EJect racks EXPIRED, LOW or EMPTY HEMA Diluent 99 % Change (Continued on next page) STAT mode HEMA Baso 93 % Change HEMA Waste EJect slides Notes: Ejection tray • Wear protective gear, gloves and a lab coat. Staln slide • Always keep a reagent bottle close to your analyzer. This allows you to replace empty reagents with new ones that BACK are already at operating conditions temperature. Select the Change button corresponding to the reagent 8. Scan the barcode label of the new container The reagent information fields are automatically filled • (lot number, opening date, expiration date, initial volume, and remaining volume) 9. Select the Prime reagent checkbox 10. Select OK (Continued on next page) 5 Note: Do not pour a reagent from one container into another. Press Back HEMA RET/PLTO Confirmation Change 17 14. A confirmation window will appear. Select OK HEMA HGB Change Start racks 15. The analyzer primes the reagents HEMA Diff Change 16. Select Start racks from the vertical bar ? Reagents need to be primed. HEMA Cleaner Please make sure that the new reagents are in Change EJect racks position, then press "OK" to prime.
