What's New with SOMATOM On.site ICU VB10 SOMATOM On.site ICU This Job Aid introduces you to the main new features of SOMATOM On.site ICU software version syngo CT VB10 compared to SOMATOM On.site ICU software version syngo CT VA35. Feature name Feature detail Hardware 18.5” You can control the CT scanner using a larger Touch screen display touch screen display, without needing a mouse or keyboard. CARE 2D Camera The CARE 2D Camera provides a live feed of the patient's head to the operator of the scanner, even when the radiation cover has been closed. The feed is displayed on the touch screen once the examination mode has been started. Bumper A bumper and the strengthened structure of the motorized trolley improve the robustness of the system. X-ray lamp The X-ray lamp indicates the radiation status of the CT system. In addition to the X-ray lamp, a loud audio signal is emitted when radiation is on. Power cord socket The power cord is retractable by an integrated cable drum. The power cord is mounted and accessible at the rear side of the scanner and has a length of 2.7 m (8.8 ft). The total battery pack capacity is 100 Ah @ 48 V. System interfaces You can access the system interfaces through a service flap between the gantry operator panel and the EMERGENCY STOP key. Power mains breaker The power mains breaker disconnects the system from wall power, for example, in case of power overload or short circuit. Only a Siemens Healthineers service technician is allowed to switch on the power mains breaker. Brake override knob You can manually maneuver the ICU variant of SOMATOM On.site as well. Only maneuver the disengaged system in an emergency and only for short distances on level ground. Please turn the brake override knob counterclockwise. As soon as the brakes start to disengage, a loud audible signal is emitted. Turn the brake override knob until it is no longer possible. Bore Light The Bore Light provides a soothing ambient light aimed at illuminating the bore. It uses an LED light that is integrated in the gantry. Software Topogram Tin Filter Topogram enables you to select the scan range. There are different tiles on the Home screen: Examination / Drive / Advanced UI. General screen layout The general screen layout describes the of the Touch UI structure of the examination screens on the Touch UI (except for the Home screen and Drive screen). There are new icons and a status area: • Home icon • Scheduler icon • System Status area • Patient camera icon ASPECTS* syngo.CT ASPECTS is a software that provides a reproducible quantitative grading system on 0 CT examinations of the head. It may help in ASPECTS finding visible ischemic changes in patients suspected of having stroke-related circulation occlusion. It’s available in the CT View&GO plugin. The results can be sent to PACS automatically if configured in Inline Results. Advanced Modeled With ADMIRE, correction loops are introduced Iterative into the image generation process. These mataart dalL Reconstruction iteration loops utilize raw data information to Fred ripe (ADMIRE) significantly improve image quality. Additionally, image noise is removed in the iterative corrections without degrading image sharpness. The noise texture of the images is comparable to the standard convolution kernels. ADMIRE results in an improved image quality with reduced noise and increased image sharpness. Bolus Tracking Bolus Tracking monitors the flow of the contrast medium in a vessel. In scan protocols including ranges that are linked to a decision tree, the myExam Compass task is added to the taskflow control for the examination. The purpose of myExam Compass is to collect information about the current patient to dynamically adapt the scan parameters or exchange recon jobs according to the patient's characteristics. Accessories Radiation shields New front Halo radiation shield with the possibility for height adjustment and rear radiation shield. Head holders Two different heights of head holders. The low head holder is an optional head holder. Shoulder board New tiltable, thinner and longer 50 cm shoulder board. Pediatric board The pediatric board helps positioning pediatric (Option) patients during the examination.
