What is RAD Confirm?

Headline 36pt R236, G102, B2) RAD Confirm is a low-dose preview on your LUMINOS Q.namix R system, which helps you with positioning your patient and the region of interest (for example, the knee or the lumbar spine). Prior to taking the radiography image (RAD), you can use the RAD Confirm function to check that the region of interested is positioned correctly. It’s very important to understand that RAD Confirm is not the same as a Fluoroscopy. The main difference between these two modes is described in the table below. In this example, you will set up RAD Confirm for a Knee a.p. clinical protocol step. ✓ You’re logged in with a user, who has permission to enter the Clinical Protocol Editor. 1. Select the Radiography tab. 2. Open the Clinical Protocol Steps tab card. 3. Search for the “Knee a.p.” in the list of the clinical protocol steps. 4. Click on the ... button to access the settings of the “Knee a.p.” clinical protocol step. ... 5. Open the Exposure Parameters tab card with the CP-step. 6. For each age variant, you must decide if you want to use RAD Confirm. In our case we only want to use it for the Adult age variant. 7. In the last column, select the checkbox and enable RAD Confirm for the age V variant Adult. 8. Click on Save Rad to store your changes. 9. Exit the Clinical Protocol Editor. 10.Now, you can use RAD Confirm for Knee a.p. exposures immediately.
