CN-3000 and CN-6000 Systems Discard Waste Fluids Job Aid

This job aid describes how to peform the daily maintenance task, discard waste fluids, on the CN-3000 and CN-6000 Systems.

CN-3000 and CN-6000 Systems SIEMENS Healthineers Discard Waste Fluids Job Aid Discard Waste Fluids (If Applicable) – Daily Maintenance WASTE FLUID 1. If the instrument is on, press the Waste fluid tank icon on the Status bar to halt condensation removal • If the Waste fluid tank icon is not displayed on the Status bar, select Reagent/consumables on the Menu and locate the icon in the Consumable information area 2. Remove the float switch from the waste fluid tank 3. Discard the waste fluid per laboratory protocol 4. Verify there are no impurities in the tank • If impurities are present, wash the inside of tank and float switch with tap water 5. Attach the float switch to the rinse tank and tighten the cap 6. Verify tubing is not kinked 7. If the instrument is on, press Close on the Discard waste fluid dialog box to automatically document maintenance. If the instrument is off, document maintenance manually Note: Document manual maintenance by pressing Maintenance > Manual maint. > Register manual maintenance.
