Today I would like to show you the unfolding of the skull. Where you normally select a patient and double click, you now select the patient and go to the series list and select the specific series that you want to open in Singo via Frontier. The series you need to select varies from research application to research application. In this case I will select the Bone Series and the brain series. To open the case, please right click on the selected patient, select open with and then select CT skull, unfolding frontier. Now it's time to open CT skull unfolding. We open the CT skull unfolding simply by clicking on the tile of the research application. In this case, the system will ask us what kind of data set we'd like to use. We can select one by deselecting the other. Or simply select both. And we can start these series to be processed in this research application. This research application needs only one CT volume. It is smart enough to see that we have selected two and we have to make a choice between the bone reconstruction and the soft tissue reconstruction that we find over here. For this purpose I will select only the soft tissue series by deselecting the Bone series. We press the process button. Once we have selected that button, since we selected a soft tissue area, the system automatically selects the so-called hematoma map. This is the unfolding of the area just below this skull to analyze if there are any hematomas visible. As you can see, there's a suspicious area here. We can also scroll through it by pressing the mouse button and holding it. If we want to send the results back to Singo via, there is a button for it which says send results. What we can also do is make a snapshot. Once we have made a snapshot, the system asks us where we want to store this snapshot. Furthermore, we can reset the research application and go back to the original status. This is especially useful with a little bit more complicated research applications which we also have available. In this area you can find the help function as well where you go to the manual. Text visibility can be switched on and off. This is extremely helpful when you want to have an anonymized snapshot. And we can also switch on and off the reference lines. This is everything about the hematoma maps. We will go back and have a look at the skull unfolding. For the skull unfolding, we select the bone, we press the right mouse button and select view as read only with and M research frontier. There we select the used research application CT skull unfolding. The research application is starting. Here we have the socalled fracture maps. A fracture is clearly visible here. Which is very hard to find in the standard axial slides. We can scroll through the data set by pressing the right mouse button or like in every single via option use the middle mouse button to scroll. Also windowing is possible. We have two different views like we also had before in the hematoma view. A view from let's say inside the skull and a view from outside the skull. We again have the functionalities to send the results back to Singo via create a snapshot. Do a reset. The help function. The text visibility can be switched on and off, as well as the reference lines. It is a very easy, straightforward research application which is very useful to analyze fractures in the skull and like you have seen before. Also the hematomas are easily shown by this. Thank you very much for your attention.
