Remote ServiceTool Client ServiceTools are used by service and administrative personnel to set up, configure, and manage the Vault Server products. The ServiceTool resides on the syngo Dynamics Server and can optionally be installed on a client. In VA40E, the ServiceTool comes as a standalone installer. This ServiceTool client can only be installed on the Workplace Client. Remote ServiceTool Client Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_04_remote-servicetool-client.wav] ServiceTools are used by service and administrative personnel to set up, configure, and manage the Vault Server products. The ServiceTool resides on the syngo Dynamics Server and can optionally be installed on a client. In VA40E, the ServiceTool comes as a standalone installer. This ServiceTool client can only be installed on the Workplace Client. ? Remote ServiceTool Client Installation (1/2) Please note: 32-bit version of Java Runtime Environment JRE 8u311 is required. If it is not installed, a message is displayed. In this case, please download the required version from the Oracle website. Installation: Open a browser enter the URL for the download portal, for example: http://server/sdportal/download.htm Click Install syngo Dynamics ServiceTool Client (1). Enter the server host name in the Server Name field and continue. When complete, click on the Finish button. 1 Remote ServiceTool Client Installation Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_05_rstc-installation01.wav] To install the Remote Service Tool Client: Open a browser and enter the url for the download portal. Click on Install syngo Dynamics ServiceTool Client. Enter the server host name in the Server Name field and continue. When complete, click on the Finish button. Please note: A 32-bit version of Java Runtime Environment is required to install the ServiceTool Client. If it is not installed, a message is displayed. In this case, please download the required version from the Oracle website. ? Remote ServiceTool Client Installation (2/2) Installation: When complete, a shortcut icon is created on the client desktop. After the installation, you will need to copy the certificates from the server, for example: C:\mvf\java\ssl\st_clientks_.jks C:\mvf\java\ssl\st_clienttruststore_ .jks Copy the certificates to the following directory on the client machine. “C:\programdata\Siemens\ syngoDynamics\ServiceToolClient\ssl” Remote ServiceTool Client Installation Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_06_rstc-installation02.wav] When complete, a shortcut icon is created on the client desktop. Single Sign-On (SSO) Single Sign-on (SSO) is an authentication method that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications using one set of credentials. Single Sign-on (SSO) is supported in syngo Dynamics VA40D and higher. Click here to learn about the supported SSO providers and the requirements for SSO. Single Sign-On (SSO) Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_07_sso.wav] Single Sing-on (SSO) is an authentication method that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications using one set of credentials. Single Sign-on (SSO) is supported in syngo Dynamics VA40D and higher. In VA40E, there are additional enhancements to Single Sign-on. VA40E contains bug fixes to support improved serviceability and support for additional SSO ID Providers, such as Okta. SSO supports clinical users by providing one set of credentials for log in. SSO also improves Identity protection. The IT department can mandate strong authentication including multi-factor authentication. Additionally, the use of SSO results in an optimization of the maintenance efforts by reducing, for example, password resets. Table with 2 columns and 1 rows Supported SSO Identity Providers (IDP): Any Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) 2.0 compliant ID provider, for example: ADFS, Azure, Okta, PingFederate. Requirements: SSO is supported for Active Directory users but is not supported for local syngo Dynamics user accounts. SSO is not supported in the CVIM Cerner EHR integration. SSO is not supported for the following applications: WebViewer SysAdmin Server Configuration Tool Data Mining Application Service Log Collection Utility HL7 Reconciliation Tool Patient Exclusion Tool Fax Log viewer Database API SSL Certificate Workplace Log in with Single Sign-On (SSO) Requirements ? Single Sign-On (SSO) Workflow (1/2) When SSO is configured, you can log in to syngo Dynamics Workplace or syngo Dynamics Remote Workplace using your SSO credentials. Click on the syngo Dynamics Workplace icon on your desktop. You are directed to the SSO ID provider in your facility. You are then either required to log in to your SSO, or the system tries to automatically authenticate your credentials. Single Sign-On (SSO) Workflow Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_08_sso-workflow01.wav] When SSO is configured, you can log in to syngo Dynamics Workplace or syngo Dynamics Remote Workplace using your SSO credentials directly and without the need to enter syngo Dynamics login user credentials. Click on the syngo Dynamics Workplace icon on your desktop. You are directed to the SSO ID provider in your facility. Depending on the configuration at your facility, you are then either required to log in to your SSO, or the system tries to automatically authenticate your credentials. During the authentication process the Authenticating with Single Sign-On window is displayed. ? Single Sign-On (SSO) Workflow (2/2) Once your credentials are authenticated, the syngo Dynamics Study List is displayed. If you are configured to access multiple departments, you will be automatically directed to one of your configured departments on your first log in. The next time you log in, you will be automatically directed to the last department that you selected. Single Sign-On (SSO) Workflow Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_09_sso-workflow02.wav] Once your credentials are authenticated, the syngo Dynamics Study List is displayed. If you are configured to access multiple departments, you will be automatically directed to one of your configured departments on your first log in. If required, change the department. The next time you log in, you will be automatically directed to the last department that you selected. ? Single Sign-On Combined Login Screen If Single Sign-on is not configured for all users, a ‘combined’ login screen can be configured to display. You can log in using your Single Sign-on credentials or your syngo Dynamics credentials. If Single Sign-on fails authentication, there is a button to redirect you to the combined log in screen. Click on the button to display the combined login screen. Log in using your syngo Dynamics credentials. 1 2 Single Sign-On Combined Login Screen Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_10_sso-login-screen.wav] If Single Sign-on is not configured for all users, a ‘combined’ login screen can be configured to display. You can log in using your Single Sign-on credentials or your syngo Dynamics credentials. The combined login screen is configured in the server database settings. Please contact your Siemens Healthineers Customer Care representative for support. If Single Sign-on fails authentication, there is a button on the top right of the toolbar to redirect you to the combined log in screen. Click on the button to display the combined login screen. Log in using your syngo Dynamics credentials. ? Auto Lock Out As a security enhancement, in VA40 you can configure a lock out for SysAdmin users for failed login attempts. As the System Administrator, you configure the threshold for consecutive failed login attempts within a configured timespan in the Local Security Policy. Here you configure the following settings: Account lockout threshold: number of failed login attempts. Reset account lockout counter: the time period in which the failed login attempts occur. Please consult with your facility’s Server Administration team for further information. Auto Lock Out Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_11_auto-lock-out.wav] As a security enhancement, in VA40 you can configure a lock out for SysAdmin users for failed login attempts. As the System Administrator, you configure the threshold for consecutive failed login attempts within a configured timespan in the Local Security Policy. Here you configure the following settings: Account lockout threshold. The Reset account lockout counter. Please consult with your facility’s Server Administration team for further information. ? Auto Lock Out: Example Configuration in Local Security Settings: Account threshold: set to three Reset account lockout counter: 15 minutes In this example, a user will be locked out after three consecutive failed login attempts within 15 minutes. When the login attempt threshold is exceeded, the user receives a message to contact their System Administrator. Auto Lock Out: Example Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_12_auto-lock-out-example.wav] As an example, if the Account threshold is set to three and the account lockout counter is to 15 minutes, the user will be locked out after three consecutive failed login attempts within 15 minutes. When the login attempt threshold is exceeded, the user receives a message to contact their System Administrator. ? Resolve Auto Lock Out SysAdmin User: Reset the password for the user in Users. A successful log in will reset the failed login counter and time window. Security Admin user: Please contact Siemens Healthineers Customer Care. If you are a Security admin user and your account is locked out, please contact Siemens Healthineers Customer Care. ? Fixed License Auto Log Off A new inactivity timer is introduced for fixed licenses. Now a separate inactivity timer can be set for the clients using a floating license (1) and a fixed license (2). Per default, both settings are set to 30 minutes. The ranges are displayed next to the entries. The maximum inactivity time that can be set for a fixed license is 480 minutes. ? SysAdmin Broadcast Message Messages can be broadcasted by the System Administrator to users from SysAdmin. The message is displayed to all logged in users irrespective of whether the user is currently using the Study List, Image Review or Reporting. Messages are displayed for the department from where the message originated only. When the user is in the enterprise study list, messages will be displayed based on the last department from which the user navigated to enterprise mode. SysAdmin Broadcast Message Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_17_broadcast-message.wav] Messages can be broadcasted by the System Administrator to users from SysAdmin. The message is displayed to all logged in users irrespective of whether the user is currently using the Study List, Image Review or Reporting. Select Message. Type the message in the message box. Select OK ? Measurements Tab It is now possible to add more than 32 measurements to the measurement set. In the Measurements tab in SysAdmin (1), click on the measurement set in the menu (2). To add additional measurements to the set, select Add Column (3). Add the desired measurements from the menu (4). If you need to reposition the measurements, you can drag and drop the measurements to the desired position. 1 2 3 4 Measurements Tab Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_19_measurement-tab.wav] It is now possible to add more than 32 measurements to the measurement set. There is no configured limit for the number of measurement sets that can be added, it has been tested with up to 200 measurements. In the Measurements tab in SysAdmin, click on the measurement set in the menu. Per default, space for 32 measurements is available. To add additional measurements to the set, select Add Column. Add the desired measurements from the menu. If you need to reposition the measurements, you can drag and drop the measurements to the desired position. ? Save Measurements Select Save to save your changes (1). If there is an empty column at the end, this column is removed when you select Save. If there is an empty column in between two columns, this column is saved when you select Save. Please note: Empty spaces in the measurement set in SysAdmin are not reflected in the Calc Palette in the user interface. 1 Save Measurements Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_20_save-measurements.wav] Select Save to save your changes (1). Service Log Upload Tool Service Log Upload Tool Audio text video [sd_va40e_ca_21_service-log-upload-tool.wav] – NEW VIDEO If an issue occurs with your system, you can use the Service Log Collection utility, to collect service logs and upload the logs to your server. The Service Log Collection utility is available at all syngo Dynamics Workplace clients and does not require any additional installation or setup. Whenever there are issues at the Workplace and you would like to raise service tickets, you can use this tool to collect the logs on-demand and provide them to Siemens Healthineers Customer Care. In addition to the application logs, the tool also captures a screenshot of the Windows desktop before uploading the logs to the server. To access the Service Log Collection tool, search for Service Log Capture from the Windows Start menu. Click Service Log Capture. If the utility is not able to connect to the server immediately, a message is displayed. To save the logs to your machine, click Yes. If this situation occurs, you will need to manually send the log files to Siemens Healthineers Customer Care. If required, coordinate the sending of logs with your local IT administrator. If the utility can connect to the server immediately, the Service Log Collection Utility dialog box is displayed. Enter your login name and password. Please note that the login fields are case sensitive. Select your department and server from the Department drop-down list and click Login. After successful log in, a message is displayed, explaining that the collection of logs involves Protected Health Information (PHI). Read the message and select Accept. You can cancel the process by selecting Cancel. As the logs are being collected, a message is displayed. If you close this message by pressing the cross in the top right corner, the collection process will be aborted. When the logs are successfully sent to the server, a confirmation message is displayed. The confirmation message includes the name of the server where the logs are stored. This is the server that you selected during log in. Select Close to close the message. If there are any problems with the collection and upload of the logs, an error message is displayed. If there was a problem with connecting to the server, the message describes the location where the log files are saved on your client system. In this case, you will need to manually send the log files to Siemens Healthineers Customer Care. If required, coordinate the sending of logs with your local IT administrator. If there was a failure to collect the logs a message is displayed. In this case, repeat the log capture process. If the problem persists, contact Siemens Healthineers Customer Care. ? Export Study List In VA40 it is possible to export the Study List as a .csv file. Select Save Study List To File from the Study menu (1). A message is displayed (2). Browse to the location on the computer where you would like to store the file. When complete, a success message is displayed, listing the directory (3). The .csv file can be opened in Excel. 1 2 3 Export Study List Audio text [sd_va40e_wp_15_export-sl.wav] In VA40 it is possible to export the Study List as a csv file. Select Save Study List To File from the Study menu. A message is displayed, informing you that you should save the information on encrypted media (PHI information). Browse to the location on the computer where you would like to store the file. When complete, a success message is displayed, listing the directory . The csv file can be opened in excel. The csv file contains all studies available as part of the filter criteria. ? Monitor Switching In VA40 syngo Dynamics allows you to switch from a dual monitor to a single monitor display and extend the display from single monitor to dual monitor display. Monitor switching is supported in Image Review when two monitors are configured, and the resolution of both configured monitors are the same. Monitor Switching Audio text [sd_va40e_wp_30_monitor-switching.wav] In VA40 syngo Dynamics allows you to switch from a dual monitor to a single monitor display and extend the display from single monitor to dual monitor display. Please note that monitor switching is not supported from the Study list, when only a single monitor set up is available on the client, or with dual monitors with two different resolutions, and when a third-party application is launched, for example, syngo.via ? Monitor Switching Workflow To change the display from dual to single monitor display: Click on the menu icon in the title bar. Select Single Monitor. To change the display from single to dual monitor display: Click on the menu icon in the title bar. Select Dual Monitor. The monitor switching configuration is not retained by the application and is reset when the application is closed. Select Single Monitor. To change the display from single to dual monitor display: Click on the menu icon in the title bar. Select Dual Monitor. It is important to note that when working with prior studies, only one prior study can be opened in a single monitor display. This means that if two prior studies are open in a dual monitor display, the most recently opened prior study is closed when switching to a single monitor display. When you select dual monitor display again, you will need to reopen the previously closed prior study. The monitor switching configuration is not retained by the application and is reset when the application is closed. ? Display Configuration (1/2) In VA40, you can configure the monitors to launch and run from the syngo Dynamics application. You configure the monitor display using the Display Configuration dialog. To open the Display Configuration dialog: Select the menu icon in the title bar (1) and select Display Configuration (2). The Display Configuration dialog is opened (3). 1 2 3 Display Configuration Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_25_display-configuration01.wav] In VA40, you can configure the monitors to launch and run from the syngo Dynamics application. You configure the monitor display using the Display Configuration dialog. To open the Display Configuration dialog: Select the menu icon in the title bar and select Display Configuration. The Display Configuration dialog is opened. ? Display Configuration (2/2) To configure the Primary monitor: Click on the monitor which you want to configure as the primary monitor. The selected monitor layout will be highlighted as the primary monitor. To remove the selection, click on the monitor again. Next click on the monitor that you would like to configure as the secondary monitor. Click on Save to save your changes. Display Configuration Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_26_display-configuration02.wav] To configure the Primary monitor, click on the monitor which you want to configure as the primary monitor. The selected monitor layout will be highlighted as the primary monitor. To remove the selection, click on the monitor again. Next click on the monitor that you would like to configure as the secondary monitor. Click on Save to save your changes. You must log out and log back into syngo Dynamics for your changes to take effect. ? Display Configuration: Share with syngo.via If syngo.via is integrated with syngo Dynamics, you can configure the secondary monitor to share with syngo.via. Right click on the monitor to be shared with syngo.via. A message is displayed indicating that the monitor is shared with syngo.via. Please note: To share the secondary monitor with syngo.via, the syngo.via client must be configured as single monitor, displayed on the secondary monitor. Display Configuration: Share with syngo.via Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_27_display-configuration-share.wav] If syngo.via is integrated with syngo Dynamics, you can configure the secondary monitor to share with syngo.via. Right click on the monitor to be shared with syngo.via. A message is displayed indicating that the monitor is shared with syngo.via. Please note: To share the secondary monitor with syngo.via, the syngo.via client must be configured as single monitor, displayed on the secondary monitor. ? Send Images to DICOM Nodes If you have the privilege assigned, you can send studies to multiple configured DICOM nodes (servers). Select one or more studies in the Study List. Studies must reside on the same server. Select Study > Send Studies to DICOM Nodes (1). Select the DICOM node or nodes to which you want to send the selected studies (2). Click Send. 1 3 2 Send Images to DICOM Nodes Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_28_send-images.wav] If you have the privilege assigned, you can send studies to multiple configured DICOM nodes. DICOM Nodes are configured in the Service Tools- Network Manager. Select one or more studies in the Study List. Studies must reside on the same server. Select Study > Send Studies to DICOM Nodes. Select the DICOM node or nodes to which you want to send the selected studies. You can search for the DICOM node by typing a few letters in the Search box. Click Send. ? Send Study to DICOM Node A new privilege, Send Study to DICOM Node, has been added. This privilege enables users to send syngo Dynamics studies to configured DICOM nodes (servers) from the Workplace. Send Study to DICOM Node Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_29_send-study.wav] A new privilege, Send Study to DICOM Node, has been added. This privilege enables users to send syngo Dynamics studies to configured DICOM nodes from the Workplace ? HL7 Study Reconciliation Tool In VA40, the HL7 Study Reconciliation Tool is integrated within the Study List. You can open the HL7 Reconciliation Tool from the Utilities menu. This enables you to manually associate the study with an order when a new order was placed in place of the canceled order. Please note: This feature is a licensed feature and may not be available on your system. HL7 Study Reconciliation Tool Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_30_hl7-study-tool.wav] In VA40, the HL7 Study Reconciliation Tool is integrated within the Study List. You can open the HL7 Reconciliation Tool from the Study List by selecting the HL7 Study Reconciliation Tool from the Utilities menu. All studies with canceled orders are displayed in the Order Association tab in the HL7 Reconciliation tool. This enables you to manually associate the study with an order when a new order was placed in place of the canceled order. Please note that this feature is a licensed feature and may not be available on your system. ? HL7 Study Reconciliation: Break Reconciliation If a demographic reconciliation was done in error, you can break the reconciliation. Select the study from the Study List that has been reconciled. From the Patient Menu select: Break Reconciliation. On success of the operation, you are notified with the message: “The Break Reconciliation command has completed successfully.” HL7 Study Reconciliation: Break Reconciliation Audio text [sd_va40e_ca_31_hl7-study-tool-break-recon.wav] If a demographic reconciliation was done in error, you can break the reconciliation. Select the study from the Study List that has been reconciled. Do not select more than one study. If you select more than one study, the Break Reconciliation option is disabled in the menu. From the Patient Menu select: Break Reconciliation. On success of the operation, you are notified with the message: “The Break Reconciliation command has completed successfully” ? HL7 Study Reconciliation: Break Order Association If a study is associated incorrectly with an order, you can remove or break that association. Select the study from the Study List that has the order association. From the Patient Menu select: Break Order Association.
