syngo Dynamics IT Administration

This course is the introductory level training for on-site administration of a syngo Dynamics Server and Workplace. At the completion of this course, participants will be able to perform basic syngo Dynamics daily administration tasks, such as monitoring job queues, backup jobs, cache fill levels, checking for and repairing unarchived and unverified studies, creating user accounts, and performing general study administration tasks.

Participants will also be able to install the syngo Dynamics Workplace applications on a client computer and configure DICOM device connectivity.

  • Describe where syngo Dynamics fits into the hospital workflow
  • Explain the daily administrative tasks for syngo Dynamics
  • Perform an over-the-network syngo Dynamics Workplace installation
  • Install SysAdmin, Report Designer, and other tools
  • Connect and logon to syngo Dynamics with Remote Desktop
  • Start and log on to the Service Tools utility locally and remotely
  • Retrieve a study from the archive and verify manually
  • Check the job queues and restart stopped jobs
  • Examine the cache hours available status with Cache Monitor
  • Create user accounts / Password handling
  • Connect to WebViewer
  • Configure DICOM device connectivity to modalities, the PACS, and a RIS broker
This course is a good balance of theoretical and hands-on. Lab time is estimated at 25% of the course with the remainder being made up of lectures, demonstrations, and presentations.
