Daily Quality Assurance Job Aid Symbia Pro.specta™ System This job aid walks through the daily quality control steps, as recommended in the Symbia™ Pro.Specta System Instructions for Use Manual. Please Note: you may have additional procedures required per country regulations that will not be covered in this document. The following procedures need to be completed daily: • NM Daily Floods o intrinsic – 10-25uCi Tc-99m or - - o extrinsic – Co-57 or Tc-99m sheet source or - - o AQC • CT Checkup • CT Quality (Daily QA) • CT Calibration – 1hr after Checkup is completed Configure Quality Control To setup the daily quality control tasks, navigate to Clinical Configuration from the Settings menu. From here select MI Clinical Configuration > Quality Assurance Configuration. This page is used to define which daily QC procedure is preferred and will appear in System Check. Complete the Daily QA or Quality task. Install the CT phantom at the end of the patient table. Make sure the detectors are retracted all the way out so that there is no contact with the phantom. SYMBIA Prospecta .. 9. Position the phantom at normal body height in the gantry. Turn on the light markers and reference markings on the phantom to assist with positioning. 10. Select GO to start the Daily QA procedure. The system will run through the Homogeneity/Water and Noise tests under each tube voltage. Workflow 'Daily QA @ System Check' started. The calibration needs to be performed 1 hour after the Checkup is completed. Select Checkup from the Settings menu to run the procedure. If the system is restarted the following Calibration Reminder will appear. syadmin ? Setup the patient table into CT Brain Index using the hand controller. Press and hold the button on the hand controller until the Gantry Display shows CT for the Table Position (same as done above for the CT Checkup). 3. Click GO from the console. Then press Start on the control box when prompted. For optimum image quality and system safety, please run the Checkup procedure. Exit the scan room. The table will move automatically. X-rays will be produced during the Checkup procedure. Checkup has started. Press the GO button to continue. Repeat GO Cancel Resuming was successful.
