This job aid will demonstrate how to split images into a new series on VExx Software.
Splitting images into a new Series (VEXX) job aid Angiography – Application software VExx An additional job aid is available on PEPconnect to determine the software version of the system. In the Patient Browser, you can split the series by selecting instances of the series and creating a new series containing selected instances. Splitting images into a new series can be helpful when resending a series to PACS. Some PACS systems may reject the series, even after renaming it, because they treat it as duplicates. Split- ting the series creates a new entry in the browser, starting with a 900 number, which helps avoid this issue. 1. Locate the selected series on the patient browser to resend to PACS. 2. Single click on the desired series level. 3. Click on the series number under the instance level. a) If the Instance level is on preview or icon view, change it to list view from the drop- down menu. Set Archive state Correct Split to New Series Delete Del Display DICOM Header 5. The new series will be labeled Split from and listed, in order, un- der series #991. 991 Split from Body 2 XA 6. The series name can then be corrected and resent to PACS.
