In this video you will learn how to position a patient for a spine examination. Before performing the examination, register the patient fill in the required data and select the program the select and GO display provides you further guidance for the different steps of positioning the patient. As always, first complete the registration before positioning the patient and pay additional attention to the patient. Positioning steps for feet first orientation, position the patient with the feet towards the bore and ensure that the feet are placed in correspondence to the line on the table cover. If you use the manual input, check the position of the region on the ruler. Enter this number as manual ISO input on the select and go. Remember the maximum allowed table movement is 130 centimeters and this range limit is also indicated on the table ruler. Always ensure the whole area to be scanned is located inside this range. Preferably keep additional buffer space or modify the patient position. To make sure the area is well covered within this range outside this range, neither the automatic positioning or the manual ISO input can ensure the correct position in regards to the isocenter.
