Default ~ 400 Hz ~ 255 Hz broadened fat peak, defined by the orange arrows, which Fat is not sufficiently covered with the default pulse of 400 Hertz. Broadened saturation pulses of 620 Hertz will reliably suppress the residual fat signal. For the Breast mode, -6.0 -5.0 -4.0 -3.0 -2.0 . 1.0 0.0 1.0 2.0 3.0 which is not covered within the graphic, the values are Chemical Shift (ppm) 640 Hz (blue) and 230 Hz (red). This technique can be combined with all sequences that support SPAIR, e.g. VIBE in the abdomen or Turbo Spin Echo in the breast. 4 Effective Date: 10 SEP 2020 | HOOD05162003125050 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers, 2020 SPAIR Region – Abdomen & Pelvis SIEMENS Healthineers Here are some examples showing the new SPAIR Abdomen and Pelvis mode compared to the traditional Default mode. Previously, at times when selecting the Weak or Strong Fat Sat Mode for the SPAIR HASTE sequence, the behavior of the Fat Sat Modes weak and strong were swapped. Now when using SPAIR, the Fat Sat Modes have been improved: • Strong – fat signal completely suppressed (black) • Weak – residual fat signal visible • Improved Fat Suppression Weak Strong A R 8 Effective Date: 10 SEP 2020 | HOOD05162003125050 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers, 2020 SPAIR – 3D HASTE: PACE Technique SIEMENS Healthineers These examples compare the HASTE using the SPAIR fat suppression, Fat Sat Mode Weak & Strong with the PACE technique.
