The patient's position in the simulator CT room is the same as the patient's position in the treatment room. Patient position can also affect treatment beam directions. There are two ways to evaluate the patient for straightness: 1. Use the scan range borders. 2. View&GO tools. Use the Scan Range Borders 1. Register the patient for the examination. 2. Select the appropriate scan protocol. 3. Scan the Topogram and the image will populate in the pane. NOTE: If two sequential Topograms (e.g., AP and Lateral) are listed in the scan protocol; select the first Topogram in the chronicle to display it before scanning the subsequent Topogram.
