Introduction to the DirectBrachy Positioning Board For brachytherapy planning, it is essential that patient movement is reduced to a minimum to avoid applicator displacement. The goal of the DirectBrachy positioning board is to enable applicator insertion and CT imaging for planning in one efficient workflow, entirely on the CT patient table, without having to transfer the patient from the imaging to the treatment room between the workflow steps. The DirectBrachy positioning board is an optional hardware feature and only compatible with SOMATOM go.Sim and SOMATOM go.Open Pro together with the Siemens Healthineers Multi-Index RTP Overlay.
