Workflow Editor The Workflow Editor lets you configure the examination and the viewing workflows, such as the shutter correction or the targets for quick export. On syngo XR, there are two types of workflows: The examination workflow and the viewing workflow. The examination workflow is active when you are performing an examination on a patient. By default, the Examination, Viewing, and Distribution tab cards are available. The viewing workflow is active when you are opening a patient from Local Data. By default, only the Viewing and the Distribution tab cards are available. There are different options for configuration. One is that the Workflow Editor allows you to uncheck Viewing and Distribution. The result is that you only have the Examination tab card available during an examination. You are not able to switch to Viewing or Distribution. Examination Workflows Examination type 2D Examination Ortho V Viewing Distribution Exercise: Select Switch to Viewing Light This is what your departments workflow looks like: Your radiographers have acquired an image. You want them to do the necessary post-processing first. Then they should switch to the next clinical protocol step. 1. Open the Workflow Editor tab card. Workflow Editor 2. Expand the Examination Workflows. Make sure that the Examination Type 2D is selected. Examination type 2D Ortho 4. Expand the Examination tab card. 5. For Switch after Acquisition, please choose Switch to Viewing Light. Please note: Switch to next Clinical Protocol Step only applies to 2D acquisitions within an examination, not to orthopedic multi-image acquisition. Orthopedic multi-image acquisitions will remain in Viewing Light for evaluation of the automatically composed image. Automatic sorting of CP steps The selected clinical protocol steps are automatically sorted. If selected, the clinical protocol steps will be sorted according to: • Acquisition Type (Wall Stand, Table, Free Exposure) • Viewing Position (AP, PA, Lat, Oblique) • Ortho Direction (Head to Feet, Feet to Head) • Name of clinical protocol step Unrestricted | Published by Siemens Healthineers AG © Siemens Healthineers AG, Page 38 of 52 SmartSimulator workbook | Advanced training for super users Workbook Effective Date: 06 Feb 2024 | QR700004561 Shutter correction Adjusts the automatic shutter position closer to (-) or farther from (+) the center position on the detector (adjustable by clinical administrators only). • Positive values lead to a larger cropped image. • Negative values lead to a smaller image. Exercise: Apply a shutter correction In this exercise, your head radiologist is not seeing the collimation on the images. This is a problem because displaying collimation is a requirement in your country. Until now, your radiographers had to manually crop the images in Viewing to be able to see collimation. To minimize the amount of post-processing required, you want to set up a shutter correction. 1. Open the Workflow Editor tab card. Workflow Editor 2. Expand the Examination Workflows.
