The data for the simulated workflows was acquired on MRI scanners. All workflows are based on Siemens tree guided workflows, so-called myExam Assists, or proposed sets of program protocols from available Siemens tree. Real images appear while scanning the data and correspond to the protocols available within the examination programs. Please note: If you change any protocol parameters within the available simulated workflows, this will not have any influence on output images. All the available simulated workflow images are hard-coded and cannot be changed or adapted in any way. These protocols can be used as the basis for creating, adapting and developing protocols in line with clinical needs and guidelines within your clinical department routine. When Siemens tree protocols are selected and loaded into the examination queue, you can easily press “Exam” but please be aware that no real images which correspond to the selected protocols will be displayed in the Graphical Slices Planner (GSP). Because this is a virtual environment, no image reconstruction will take place. Images which might appear in the GSP are placeholders which are displayed instead of black segment images. The visualization is hard-coded and cannot be changed. Usage of contrast media is not allowed. Exception: Angio Assist workflow. The anonymized data has been provided by one of our collaboration partners, who allowed us to use the images for education purposes. Contrast media injection can be simulated, however. General tips and tricks READ ME examination steps are implemented in many of the simulated workflows, providing some important information before starting the examination, and some in the middle of it. These steps were added manually to provide instructions and guide you through the necessary planning, with tips and tricks for the dedicated workflow execution. These implemented steps are visible either in the examination queue, when the patient is loaded, or in the myExam Cockpit in the WorkflowSimulation tree, when you select a program of interest. Only the Standard Strategy and Decisions provide output images and are included in the scan simulation. - Additional Strategies are Decisions included in the workflow demonstrate other workflow options. If modified in the scan simulation, some images may not be displayed, or incorrect images may be displayed. (2) Example of Angio Assist simulated workflow “READ ME” implemented step: Angio Assist ISO + 1 localizer_trufi_multislice 2 HASTE_tra_db_4bh_iPAT 3 READ ME - planning Test Bolus 4 Test_Bolus 00:57 Guidance Position the Test Bolus slice so the vessels of interest are completely covered - Drag & Drop the Test Bolus images into a GSP segment and scroll through the images until an image is seen with full intensity. The TTC (Time to Center) of these images correspond to the transit time. TTC is displayed as a comment at the bottom of the Test Bolus images. In some of the workflows you might get a notification that “AutoAlign” for some steps could require manual adjustments. In such a case please slightly adjust the slice positioning manually and place the desired field of view (FoV – yellow planning box) over the area of interest.
