
Roadmap & Overlay Reference (VExx)
This job aid will describe the workflow to create a Classic Roadmap, DSA Roadmap, Subtracted Fluoro and Overlay Reference on VExx software.
Roadmap & Overlay Reference (VEXX) job aid Angiography – Artis software VEXX An additional job aid is available on PEPconnect to determine the software version of the system. The Roadmap (RDMP) function allows you to view the region of interest with subtracted fluoros- copy for dynamic navigation during procedures such as angioplasty, catheterization, or plaque re- moval. There are several ways of achieving the roadmap: the Classic Roadmap, the DSA Roadmap, and the Subtracted Fluoro. • You can pan and zoom during roadmap options. • Activate via exam room Only. • You can activate Roadmap options via the main menu on the Pilot touchpad or Direct Ac- cess bar. Acquire a DSA scene. 2. Stop scene playback on the desired frame and create Ref. image. 3. Select the DSA Roadmap button. 4. Step and hold fluoro, a Roadmap will appear. Subtracted Fluoro Fluoroscopy with a single subtraction out of the device phase only (no vessel tree displayed). Used for embolization procedures where glues and onyx are used. 1. Start Subtr. Fluoro. 2. Select or change the roadmap protocol set. 3. Step and hold the fluoro pedal. Additional Roadmap Features Feature Description Reset Set a new mask. Contrast Change of vessel/catheter contrast or anatomical background. Zoom Zoom the image by a factor of 2 and panning RT Pixel Shift Automatic pixel shift during Roadmap Native Display of native scene Vessel Display of vessel map Show Progr./Dyn. Prog. Subtracts out previously displayed coils/radio- paque material from original rdmp. Dynamic will be performed with every footswitch action with- out time offset. Fluoro Fade, Overlay Ref, or Reference overlay, allows the user to over- lay a reference image onto the LIVE fluoro image. • Reference images can be created from a Store FL, DSA acquisition, or a DR acquisition. • Graphics will always be displayed as part of the overlay reference when activated and are not affected by the overlay percentage. • No additional roadmap functions available with Overlay Ref. • Overlay Ref. images could be stored as Store Fluoro and Store Monitor. • Overlay Options can be added to the Favorites Tab on a touchscreen. Overlay Reference 1. Select the image you want to overlay. 2. Create a reference for that image. 3. Tap RDMP & Overlay in the main menu of the touchscreen. Tap Overlay Ref1 or Overlay Ref2. This depends on which source your reference image is saved to. Overlay Ref Overlay Ref1 Overlay Ref2 REF 1 Adjust C-Arm to Ref1 REF2 Adjust C-Arm to Ref2 Ref1 follows C.Arm 6. Step on fluoro. 7. The overlay image will be displayed on the LIVE fluoro image as an overlay. 8. The overlay percentage on the LIVE fluoro image can be adjusted by using the jog wheel up and down. This can be done while on and off the fluoro pedal. The percentage number will be displayed in the lower right corner of the live image.
