
Roadmap & Overlay Reference (VDXX)
This job aid will describe the workflow to create a Classic Roadmap, DSA Roadmap, and Overlay Reference on VDxx Software.
Roadmap & Overlay Reference (VDXX) job aid Angiography – Artis Software VDXX. An additional job aid is available on PEPconnect to determine the software version of the system. There are several ways of achieving a roadmap, such as the Classic Roadmap or DSA Roadmap. • All Programs can be activated with a single click. • You can pan and zoom during roadmap options. • Activate via the control room or exam room. • Activation is only possible between Xrays. Classic Roadmap 1. Select the Roadmap button. RDMP 2. Step and hold fluoro. a) Phase 1: Native b) Inject symbol appears > Inject contrast media c) Phase 2: Subtraction TH 3. Step off Fluoro. 4. Step and hold fluoro, A Roadmap will appear. DSA Roadmap 1. Acquire a DSA scene. 2. Stop scene playback on the desired frame and create Ref. image. 3. Select the DSA Roadmap button. DSA RDMP 4. Step and hold fluoro, a Roadmap will appear. Additional Roadmap Features - Roadmap Additional Functions (VC21-VD11) Job Aid (siemens-info.com) Feature Description Vessel Contrast/Catheter Contrast Adjust the catheter (wire, device, etc.) and vessel contrast % independently. Zoom x2 Image can be zoomed x2 and panned to the area of interest Show Progress/Progressive Show Progress Subtracts out previously displayed coils/radio- paque material from original rdmp. Previous Mask (Not used with DSA RDMP) Allows users to return to a previously created roadmap. Unrestricted 0 Published by Siemens Healthineers AG © Siemens Healthineers, 2025 SIEMENS Master Template Effective Date: 3/5/2020 | HOOD05162003074494 Job Aid Effective Date: 01/15/2025 | QR700017513 Healthineers Overlay Reference, also known as Fluoro Fade, Overlay Ref, or Reference overlay, allows the user to overlay a reference image onto the LIVE fluoro image. • A reference image can be created from a Store FL, DSA, or a DR acquisition. • Graphics will always be displayed as part of the overlay reference when activated and are unaffected by the overlay percentage. • Automap can be used with Overlay Ref. • Bones are still visible, not subtracted overlay. • No additional roadmap functions available with Overlay Ref. • Overlay Ref. images could be stored as Store Fluoro and Store Monitor. Overlay Reference 1. Select the image you want to overlay. 2. Create a reference for that image. 3. Select the Overlay Ref icon. REFOS 4. The icon will turn white with a green joystick symbol in the upper left corner. a) The green symbol lets the user know the joystick functionality has changed and will now control the fading function. b) If the green symbol is not displayed, Overlay Ref is still active, but the joystick does not control fading in and out. REFOS 5. Step on fluoro. 6. The overlay image will be displayed on the LIVE fluoro image as an overlay. 7. The overlay percentage on the LIVE fluoro image can be adjusted by using the joystick up and down. This can be done while on and off the fluoro pedal. The percentage number will be displayed in the lower right corner of the live image.
