
Replacing the LOCI® Insert on the Dimension® EXL™ with LM and Dimension® EXL 200 Integrated Chemistry Systems Video
This video provides instructions on how to replace the LOCI® insert on the Dimension® EXL™ with LM and Dimension EXL™ 200 Integrated Chemistry Systems.
1st power down the system by following the performing a controlled power shutdown procedure in the dimension system operators guide. Open the loci access door located on the rear side of the analyzer. Lift up the Locci arm and rotate it out of the way. Remove the rubber seal. Carefully insert a pipette tip or slender object into the Reed chamber. Press the tip against the inside of the insert and draw the insert out. Hold the new insert by the top edge and carefully drop it into the low side chamber. Next, carefully reinsert the rubber seal and press firmly down around the entire surface to ensure it is inserted fully. Return the low side arm to its original position and then close the low side access door. After the door is closed, restore power to the system by following the restore power after a controlled shutdown procedure in the dimension system operators guide. With the system in standby, from the operating menu screen, select F7 diagnostics. Select F1 electromechanical. Select F2 sample system. Select F7 LOCI module. Then select F7 statistics. Select F1 reset to reset the low size statistics. When the message do really want to clear, the low size statistics file appears on the screen. Select yes to confirm. In the cycle field, type 40 as the number of cycles to perform. Select F8 cycle. After cycling is complete, run QC on all loci methods. Then exit to the main operating menu screen. If documenting using the paper logs from the dimension system operators guide, document the maintenance and the weekly slash monthly maintenance log sheet or instrument log sheet. Or, if documenting using the electronic logs in the dimension system software, document the maintenance in the instrument log screen.
