Replacing the Dilution, Sample, and Reagent Probes on the Atellica® CH Analyzer Video Version 1.25 and Below

To change a probe, the system must be set to diagnostic state. This can be done by selecting System in the command bar. Next select Operator Diagnostics. Select the Chemistry module icon, select Enter Diagnostics, Select Yes in Subsystems, select Probe. Select either Sample Dilution, Reagent Probe One, or Reagent Probe 2. Select Perform. Select Yes. Wait for the analyzer to prepare for maintenance. The covers automatically unlock. Open the appropriate cover in order to access the probe that is being replaced. If the covers lock before you are able to open them, select the button in the software to unlock the covers. Locate the probe that needs changing, which will automatically position itself over the wash station. The dilution and sample probes are interchangeable and will have one line on the probe. The two reagent probes are interchangeable and will have 3 lines on the probe. Unscrew and remove the black cap at the top of the probe that needs replacing. Grasp the probe and gently push the probe up. Remove the probe and discard per laboratory protocol. Locate the probe that has the corresponding number of stripes and carefully guide into the arm. Reinstall the black cap. close the cover to exit diagnostics. Select Continue. Select close. Next Select Yes. Select the Maintenance tab on the command bar. Select Schedule. Select the Chemistry module in the drop down menu. Select the correct probe in the software to complete the procedure. Select the Mark as completed button on the right hand side of the screen. Finally, perform chapter auto check. Wait for auto check to complete and pass before analyzing samples.
