In this video you will learn more on the Reference Level Management. You will see in detail how to employ those automatically and how to assign the appropriate Radlex Standard examinations to your institutional examinations. To access the Dose Reference Level Management and the examination mapping page, just click on any of the tiles. The dose application starts. Select the dose reference level or DRL management configuration from the Team Play dose menu bar. The reference levels are categorized by modality and the corresponding physical radiation dose units are displayed. In addition, different levels are assigned to the Raidlex standard examination. Each Raidlex Standard examination has a Radlex playbook identifier called RPID. Let's take a look at some examples. ACT Head without contrast media examination has the RPID 22 based on the Radlex playbook and the national DLP Max reference level for RPID 22 examination is for an adult 850 milligray centimeter. The National Radiation Protection Regulation authorities provide the national dose reference values depending on the country in which your institution is located. Team Play already displays the national values which are relevant for your institution. Besides the given national DRLS, you have the option to set up your own institutional reference levels. Why should you do that? One case is that there is no reference value given for certain examinations such as ACT head perfusion and you want to monitor your institutional dose performance for these examinations. Then enter your internal reference levels. In our example shown here, the CT head perfusion with the RPID 96 has no specific national reference level. Nevertheless, your institution may perform this type of examination regularly, and it's very experienced regarding the radiation dose. Click the edit button to insert your internal reference level. In the future, Team Play will report a dose event whenever ACT Head Perfusion examination exceeds your internal reference value. This approach can be seen as an internal radiation dose monitoring. The list displays only the standard examinations with some internal reference levels.
