Laboratory Information System CSF Nutrition Kidney PROTIS Assessment Packages aurelio/lab ? How Data Flows Through the System How Data Flows Through the System The PROTIS IT Software package consists of two components that work together to produce a comprehensive solution for the complete laboratory routine. The first component is the aurelio (pronounced aw-reh-lee-oh) lab software Edition for Siemens PROTIS assessments, which manages samples, patients, and orders and also interfaces with instruments and the laboratory information system, or LIS. The aurelio lab software acts as middleware. This means it communicates with the connected LIS and the instruments. Data can flow from the connected instruments to the software and the LIS and back again. The second component is the PROTIS Assessment packages. These packages are installed into the aurelio lab software and enable it to produce nutrition, CSF, and kidney function clinical support assessments and reports. Depending on your installation, you may have one, two, or three of these assessment packages installed. ?
