Make sure the locking lever on the right side of the ultrasound system is in the unlocked position. 2. Insert the transducer connector into the port, taking care to align the connector for a smooth fit. 3. Push the locking lever up to the locked position. The system detects the transducer and displays the transducer name on the image screen. To disconnect a transducer: 1. Push the locking lever to the unlocked position. 2. Firmly grasp the transducer connector and carefully pull it straight out from the transducer port. 3. Store the transducer in its protective carrying case. If the user purchased the optional integrated Smart Cart, a multi-transducer module (MTM) is included. The user can connect up to three transducers on the ultrasound system. The connecting and disconnecting transducers procedures are the same for the module and the ultrasound system. After connecting a transducer to the ultrasound system, place the transducer in the protective holder attached to the control panel platform. Transducer holders have variable sizes both in depth and diameter. To remove a transducer holder 1. Locate the tab underneath the holder. The tab extends below the point of attachment to the cart. 2. Press the tab against the holder and pull the holder downward. To install a transducer holder 1. Press the tab against the holder. 2. Once the transducer is placed on the skin and tissue is recognized, the power automatically adjusts to normal scanning. This feature is not- enabled when the system ships from the factory. This feature will need to be set-up in the Configuration Menu: Config > General 2 >Transmit Power. You can turn it off or chose from 5 secs, 1, 3, 5, or 10 mins. The image on the left is an example of a registration form for abdomen and displays general information to enter. The image on the right is for any OB/GYN exams that need additional information. Enter the required information in the registration form and press Tab to select the next entry. Please Note: A barcode reader can be used to insert the following information in the registration forms: patient name and identification, performing physician, and sonographer. To enter information using a barcode reader, position the pointer in the required entry and then scan the barcode. Once the barcode is scanned, it will enter the information that has been selected in the configuration menu: Config>Barcode. To close the patient registration form there are two methods. Select OK to save the patient data, then select 2D from this page and select the print/store function. The system saves the patient data and activates real-time imaging. If the print/store control is pressed, the system also captures an image of the completed form. To close the patient registration form without saving your entries, select Cancel. To create a user-defined exam start by adjusting imaging settings required for the new exam during imaging. Then exit to B-mode before saving the exam. Press Exam and then select Edit Exams. Enter a name for the exam, and then select Create. The system saves the settings and adds the new exam to the list under the default exam type it was created from. 2. To edit a user-defined exam during imaging, adjust the imaging settings required for editing the exam preset. Select Exit to B-mode before overwriting the exam and then press Exam and then select Edit Exams. Select a transducer from the list, if necessary, and select the required exam. 3. To overwrite the selected exam with the current imaging settings, select Overwrite and then select Yes. 4. To rename the selected exam, enter the exam name and then select Rename. 5.
