Once the transducer is placed on the skin and tissue is recognized, the power automatically adjusts to normal scanning power. Some systems may say, Reduce Transmit Power while in bare status. Bare status means “scanning air”, for instance a transducer is firing pulses in the air while the transducer is in the holder. When activated, this feature reduces that transmit power while the transducer is inactive (non-scanning) mode. This is an important feature for catheters to prevent the elements from becoming damaged due to high temperatures. This is especially useful for ICE catheters or during interventional procures when a transducer is left idle for longer periods of time. This slide demonstrates the Probe Saver feature. Notice, the image on the top left, illustrates active scanning with 100% transmit power and a mechanical index of 1.20. The image on the bottom left illustrates an inactive transducer in Probe Saver mode with a decreased transmit power of 1.00% and mechanical index of 0.18. This feature is not enabled by default in the factory settings. To adjust Transducer Power/ Probe Saver settings: Configuration Menu: Config > General 2 >Transmit Power. You can turn it off or chose from 5 secs, 1, 3, 5, or 10 mins. Notes No. 27 SIEMENS Healthineers Smart Cart Option SIEMENS. Healthineers ... SwiftLink Plus Catheter Connector SwiftLink Plus with optional 4-Turn Seiwa ferrite Restricted © Siemens Healthineers, 2024 Speaker Notes: An important component of ICE procedures is the new SwiftLink Plus catheter connector. This is a micro-pinless, reusable connector, with a 2.5-meter cord length, that connects the AcuNav and SoundStar® Crystal ICE catheters to the P500 ultrasound system. The new SwiftLink Plus catheter connecter features a rotational lock design to increase ease of connection and reduces twist angle. This updated design includes a thumbprint area to guide connection and raised ridges for easy gripping. A common pain point of intraprocedural echocardiography for physicians is the center line artifact generated on screen while imaging. Common causes of artifacts include wall power, as well as the ablation catheter. The engineering team designed the SwiftLink Plus to help mitigate some of the noise often seen during electrophysiology and interventional procedures during imaging. Also available on the P500 SwiftLink Plus is an optional 4-Turn Seiwa ferrite to further reduce RF ablation noise. Note: Ferrite causes a higher impedance which can reduce more environmental noise without distortion and compromise of the echo signals. Notes No. 59 SIEMENS Healthineers Service Tool SIEMENS .
