Tab Menu: This allows you to cycle between Text, Body Marker or the Arrow feature. Title/Text: Allows the user to choose a Title or Text annotation. System Configuration: Select the Configuration icon to access the configuration menu to customize the display of the text on the Touch Screen. Keyboard: Select the keyboard icon to activate the virtual keyboard for manual typing of text. Select keyboard icon a second time to return to the previous screen of pre-defined text options. Hide Words: Temporarily removes Text and Title annotations from the Image Screen to take an image (e.g. teaching file). Select Hide Words icon a second time to regain text access. Exam Package: (Text Annotation Packages) - Provides access to any pre-defined text from any Exam Package. Custom Text Annotation packages may be created in the System Configuration menu. The following actions adjust using the soft keys on the Control Panel as shown on the Abdomen exam text. • Clear Screen - Clears all “Text” on the Image and Touch Screen (also clears Measurements, Body Markers or Arrows). • Select Line - Returns the cursor to last text entered. • Text Size - Changes the size of all text and title annotations on the imaging screen. • Home - Moves the text cursor to the Home set position. • Set Home - Sets the desired location for text to appear on the Image Screen. The Delete key on the Control Panel removes a single word in a text line. It will delete the last word that was entered or, you can move the cursor into the word you wish to delete and then press Delete. Select Title b. Enter the desired label(s) c. Select Text to return to the text function. The Title is not removed from the screen when the “Clear Screen” or “Delete” keys are selected while in “Text” mode. This feature is useful in carotid exams. The user can enter the title “Right or Left” and continuously change or clear the anatomical text without affecting the title. 2. There are multiple preconfigured text groups available for customization as shown in this example of the Carotid package. Additional groups may be added and may be customized to the user preference. 3. An Additional Text group is also available, seen arranged vertically but separated by spaces, as shown in the Transcranial Doppler package and may be customized. This text group will add to the line of text rather than replacing text. Note: Additional text is not preconfigured for all types of exams and will need to be customized. A list of all exam types is displayed. This is especially useful when in arterial or venous imaging of the extremities. You can quickly annotate venous and arterial vessels as you do the exam. Use the cursor or select a letter on the Touch Screen. When Caps Lock is on, it is orange in color. When Caps Lock is off, the key is gray. The default is Caps Lock off. If Auto-Complete is stored in the System Configuration (Configuration > Annotation> Text), the system displays a matching phrase from the exam-specific library of text annotations based on the first few letters entered and it is displayed in orange. • To accept, select the Tab key. • To delete, press the Delete key on the Control Panel. • Press the space bar to remove the pre-defined text or continue typing. Once it is completed, if you roll the trackball to the end of the word and backspace, the auto- complete word will re-appear for easy editing. Place your finger or cursor in the orange circle or Transducer Marker and move to the desired location. When in the Body Marker tab, pressing the Delete key on the Control Panel removes the Body Marker from the image screen without removing Text or Arrows. To move the body marker location, push the soft key labeled Body Marker and the Body Marker becomes active (orange), then use the trackball to move to the desired location. To activate the transducer marker, push the rotary control Transducer Marker to the “On” position. To reposition / rotate the Transducer Marker: • Drag the orange dot on the Touch Screen to change the orientation of the transducer marker • Drag the transducer marker to change the location of the transducer marker To delete a Body Marker from the image screen, press Delete on the Control Panel. To add a Body Marker from another application, select Exam Package and select the desired exam and make the selection on the Touch Screen. Select the desired Body Marker Library you wish to add from. 4. Select the desired Body Marker from the available options. 5. Select the desired location to place the body marker. 6. To remove a body marker from the Touch Screen, select the desired body marker and select the box labeled “Click here to remove”. 7. Selecting New Page on the Touch Screen adds a second page where additional body markers can be added. 8. To delete just the arrows, press the Delete key on the Control Panel to delete one arrow at a time. Hold down for 1.5 seconds to clear screen. There are two ways to increase the length of the arrow: • Drag the tail of the arrow on the Touch Screen to increase/ decrease the size of the tail. • Use the trackball and Set key to position and increase/ decrease the size of the tail. • The image above to the right shows the minimum and maximum length of the tail. To add Arrows, press the Update key on the Control Panel. To move between arrows, press Previous Arrow on the soft key on the Control Panel or on the Touch Screen.
