ACUSON Origin Protocols Presentation
This content explains how to configure and use the protocol feature on the ACUSON Origin system at software level 1.0.
SIEMENS Healthineers SIEMENS Healthineers .. ACUSON Origin Ultrasound System Protocols 1.0 software version 1 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers 2023 Speaker Notes: The purpose of this presentation is to review the Protocols feature on the ACUSON Origin ultrasound system. Healthineers ... • Define protocols • Summarize benefits of a protocol • Review creating and modifying protocols • Discuss Importing / exporting and offline customization • Review steps in using protocols 2 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers 2023 Speaker Notes We will begin by defining the protocols feature. Notes No. 2 SIEMENS Healthineers What is a workflow protocol? SIEMENS . Healthineers ... Automated major imaging mode changes Guided and automated Automated text and body marker labeling clinical workflow, based on a predefined checklist. Automated measurement activation 3 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers 2023 Speaker Notes A protocol is a pre-defined checklist that guides you through a clinical workflow. This pre-defined checklist includes automated imaging mode changes, automated text and body markers, as well as automated measurement activation. Notes No. 3 SIEMENS Healthineers Objectives SIEMENS . Healthineers ... • Define protocols • Summarize benefits of a protocol • Review creating and modifying protocols • Discuss Importing / exporting and offline customization • Review steps in using protocols 4 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers 2023 Speaker Notes Next, we will summarize the benefits of using a protocol in a clinical setting. Notes No. 4 SIEMENS Healthineers Why use protocols? SIEMENS . Healthineers ... Standardizes Enables Benefits of Guides new Reduces flexibility protocols exams across users keystrokes when users needed 5 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers 2023 Speaker Notes The following are benefits of using workflow protocols: • Protocols help guide new users through an exam. Whether the user is new to the protocol or to the system, he or she can use protocols as a guide through an exam. • Protocols will standardize exams and provide consistency among groups of different users. This will ensure that no standard views and measurements are missed on an exam. • A reduction in keystrokes is another benefit to using protocols, as functions and modes are automatically activated. • Protocols are also flexible when needed. For example, the protocol can be paused at any point to obtain additional images / measurements outside of the protocol. This is helpful when pathology is present. Notes No. 5 SIEMENS Healthineers Objectives SIEMENS . Healthineers ... • Define protocols • Summarize benefits of a protocol • Review creating and modifying protocols • Discuss Importing / exporting and offline customization • Review steps in using protocols 6 Unrestricted © Siemens Healthineers 2023 Speaker Notes Now we will review configuration of a protocol, including creating and modifying protocols.
