Press the Patient key on the Touch Screen to view. Patient Browser options include: 1. Import from Offline - import exams and protocols from USB or CD/DVR 2. Search functions – Search 3. Local database – provide list of current studies on the hard drive 4. selected exam and thumbnail images – selected exam will be displayed in orange with the thumbnail images on the right 5. Export and Send– Export to USB / CD/DVR or Send to PACs (Send with be dithered if PACs is not installed) 6. Append Study and New Study – Append pauses study and allows user to restart within a 24-hour window and New Study ends the current exam and starts a new study with the same patient information but each is separate study on the local database 7. Query/Retrieve from PACs – retrieves the Modality Worklist and allow search functionality 8. Job Status for Export and Import- provide status of import and exporting files and sending to PACs 9. Delete – allows deletion of a study from the hard drive or specific images within the file We will review these options during this presentation. The local database screen identifies each of these type of studies by a specific icon. Active Study – this is the current active study in progress and displays a green arrow. Pause a Study – this option allows the user to pause the study to be completed later. An example would be if part of study was complete and patient had to leave or became ill, you could resume later. Paused studies will stay on the local database until removed. These are displayed in yellow with a vertical equal sign. Discontinue a Study – This would be used if you canceled the study completely and not want to send images to PACs or worklist or review the images at any time. It will prompt you to enter a reason as shown in this example. Once selected, an “X” will appear next to the study in the Browser. Caution: You will not be able to open and view the images on the local database. A workaround is to export the file, delete the file from the browser and re-import. If exporting as DICOM, the option to de-identify will be available 4. If Exporting to PC format, de-Identify is not available. Please note: the downloaded file will contain the name as listed on the browser file. If - you need to de-identify, change the name on the folder on the PC. The data field will display the information that was selected at system configuration.
