
OncoFreeze AI Introduction Job Aid
This job aid describes OncoFreeze AI, which is an optional feature available on the Biograph mCT and Biograph Vision (VG80 Software), and the Biograph Horizon (VJ30 Software).
OncoFreeze AI Job Aid Deviceless Gating & OncoFreeze OncoFreeze AI is an optional feature, and is available on the Biograph mCT and Biograph Vision (VG80 Software). It is also available on the Biograph Horizon (VJ30 Software). OncoFreeze AI extends OncoFreeze motion correction technology, by using Deviceless PET Respira-tory Gating and OncoFreeze to reduce respiratory motion, when reconstructing PET im- ages. Device-less PET Respiratory Gating is a non-contact, equipment-free respiratory gating method. The system utilizes a derived waveform from the acquired PET data for the use of a res- piratory signal without requiring an external respiratory device. OncoFreeze AI uses ALPHA (Ana- tomic Landmarking and Parsing of Human Anatomy) technology to ensure OncoFreeze is only ap- plied to ranges that could be affected by respiratory motion. The Deviceless PET Respiratory Gating algorithm relies on spectral analysis for the generation of a respiratory waveform from PET raw data. The longer the scan, axial and/or duration, the more samples will be collected and the higher the accuracy of the analysis and the quality of the result- ing waveform. To achieve the best possible results while using OncoFreeze AI, ensure the scan range covers the patient’s anatomy that would be subject to respiratory motion.
