NAEOTOM Alpha General Improvements VB10 Upgrade Video - USA
In this video, we cover the general improvements of the VB10 software for the NAEOTOM Alpha.
Product relevance: NAEOTOM Alpha.
Target group: Basic user, all users.
Recommended to be viewed on the following devices: Laptop, desktop computer (sufficiently large display required).
Welcome to this training for the Neotom Alpha General updates for the VB10 software. In this training we will discuss the new reconstruction options, then the new protocols and scan modes, and lastly the new scan parameter settings. The first section to discuss is the new reconstruction options available. With the. VB10 software. One new reconstruction option is called. Auto Kev. You may remember that depending on which scan mode you're in, all mono energetic reconstructions have a default. Kev Level. Before this upgrade, once you changed from the default, there was no way to get back to this default level without knowing which scan mode and scan parameters were being used. This is why we have now added the feature. Of auto Kev. This is a new reconstruction parameter that when selected will return you to the default. Kev. For the scan that you are using, this feature works in all scan modes such as Quantum Plus, Quantum and Quantum 10. As you can see in the video, once you change from the default, you can select the auto Kev checkbox, turning it on and returning the reconstruction back to what the default is In that particular scan mode, the next new reconstruction option is. HD field of view with. This new software upgrade. We have brought you this feature on the Neoton Alpha. HD field of view. Is located in the Reconstruction parameters under the Recon Box tab. If you. Activate HD field of view. And there is a spectral reconstruction being used. You will. See a conflict for that reconstruction. This is because HD. Field of view. Is only available as. At 3:00. D Reconstruction due to having less projections outside the standard 500 millimeters. Field of view only at 3D. Reconstruction is possible when you. Use HD. Field of. View. You can select a reconstruction up to 815mm. Field of. View. When you. Activate HD field of view. You will. See a warning message on the screen that reconstructions with. HD. Field of. View can. Lead to image. Artifacts this. Is consistent to all Siemens Health and Ears scanners when using HD. Field of view. The last reconstruction option is the. Ability. To launch reconstructions directly from My Exam Satellite. If you have purchased My Exam Satellite and the Remote Recon license, you can open a patient from the browser into the reconstruction workflow. This works the exact same way as you would do from the console. You may then make any reconstruction parameter changes including cardiac phase changes, ECG editing, and more. Once you have started the reconstruction from My Exam Satellite, the reconstruction enters the same queue for the IRS as the scanner. So if there. Are already. Reconstructions In this queue, your reconstruction will be placed in line for reconstruction. The next section of this training is the new protocols and scan modes. Let's first discuss a new scan mode available in the VB10 software. As you may know, when scanning in high pitch scan modes such as a flash scan, that high pitch with Quantum HD and Spectral was not possible. In the VB10 software we have added a new scan mode. To rectify this. We have changed the current scan mode of routine Flash, Spiral, Adult, High Res, Ultra Quantum Plus to now include full spectral information. When you use this scan mode you can have pitch values of 1.0 and up to a 3.2. To ensure full spectral information. The collimation will be 96 by 0.2mm. Just like. Before in this high pitch flash scan you will have quantum HD reconstructions. Available to you. These are reconstructions of slice thicknesses down to 0.2mm and kernel sharpnesses up to a 98. Keep in mind that these reconstructions will continue to be. At 3D. Recon only now in this new scan mode you will have full spectral results available including an SPP reconstruction. Like all other Quantum HD scan modes, any spectral reconstructions will need to be a standard Recon. This is a slice thickness of 0.4mm and kernel sharpness of 76 and below. We have kept the original version of the scan mode as you know from the VA 50 software that has no spectral results. We have just now added the keyword Y to the scan mode. This scan mode still uses the collimation of 120 by 0.2mm. The pitch values remain the same of 1 to 3.2 as before. Quantum HD results are available with slice thicknesses down to 0.2mm and kernels up to a 98 but. Only is at 3D. With this new wide scan mode, there are no spectral results available and all reconstructions will be. At 3:00. D. So please keep an eye on which scan mode you are using now. We will discuss the last section in this training the new scan parameter settings with the VB10 software. All routine Body Quantum Plus protocols will now have the. Default. KVP set to 140. This is due to having improved spectral performance and better optimized energy thresholds. Thanks to these improvements, when using 140 KVP you will have an increase of dose savings for all spectral imaging at the same image quality. Keep in mind this is for routine quantum plus protocols only. All brain protocols will remain at 100 and. 20 KVP. All quantum HD protocols will also remain at 120. KVP. This is to ensure that the iodine contrast is not reduced in the T3D reconstructions. Thank you for your attention during this training. Don't forget you can always revisit these trainings in the. Future it. May be helpful to watch these again after you're on site applications training.
