This recalibration resets the spectral drift, although the material properties will start drifting again over time. Purpose SRC helps mitigate artifacts caused by spectral drift, supporting image quality over time. Impact SRC was not possible before the VB20 software version – Siemens Healthineers Customer Service Engineers (CSEs) had to perform tuning functions manually. With the VB20 version, you can now perform the Spectral Recalibration on your own.
