SIEMENS Healthineers SAR adaptive protocols help to solve possible SAR conflicts because: SAR Limit(s) Exceeded ? X • They have been configured to reduce SAR. Limits for MR Conditional Implants ? X SAR adaptive protocols help to avoid SAR conflicts when scanning patients with MR Conditional implants. The implant manufacturer 1 2 3 provides information on the SAR limits that need to be met. RF Limits General Confirmation RF Limits When you use myExam Implant Suite, an additional safety component B1+ rms Head SAR 3.2 W/kg is activated when you scan in Normal Operating Mode. This additional SAR Whole Body SAR 2.0 W/kg Normal Operating Mode safety component may result in the Normal Operating Mode limit being exceeded earlier than if the non-implant mode is selected. RF Transmit Mode Any Polarization Please note: SAR adaptive protocols are especially useful to avoid exceeding the SAR limit when scanning the spine. You can also create custom low SAR protocols for other body regions, if required.
