Position patient: Supine: Lying on the table, head at the head end, centered in the middle of the table. Upright: Standing in the L-stand in AP position only (stand positioned and locked in programmed floor location). Position the patient’s feet in the appropriate area of the positioning block. Remove the tabletop if necessary. 5. Press and hold the SmartMove button on the wireless remote control (along with the Dead Man Grip (DMG) on the back) to move the tube to the top of the scan range. To set the first position, select the tube on the wireless remote control. For supine exams, use the green longitudinal control to move the light field to the top of the anatomy to be imaged. For upright exams, use the blue vertical control. OR On the MaxTouch tube face, use individual directional control buttons. For supine exams, use only the green longitudinal button to move the light field to the top of the anatomy to be imaged. For upright exams, use only the blue vertical button. 7. On the wireless remote control press the SmartMove button once (without applying pressure to the touchpad on the back of the control) to set Position 1. OR On any available Touch User Interface (tube face or remote control console*), tap the round icon marked 1 to set Position 1. 1 8. If preferred, collimate side to side. Collimation size will be valid for the AP scan only. Collimation will open for the lateral scan. 13. Using any exposure button (on the console, hand switch*, back of Multifunction Joystick*, or fluoroscopy pedal*), hold exposure down throughout the entire duration of the scan (sin- gle direction for AP or LAT only, both directions for AP+LAT). Acquired images will automati- cally send to the View&GO workstation for automatic reconstruction. 14. If a scan repeat is necessary, SmartMove again to position at the start of the scan using previ- ously stored positions. *Items marked with an asterisk are options.
