Multitom RAX: Performing Real 3D upright acquisitions During the exam, the system will offer guidance through prompts on the workstation screen and the overhead tube face. 1. Open the patient exam and select the desired 3D desired organ program. Remove the tabletop if necessary. Position the patient standing in the L stand, facing forward and using the correct positioning accessories and appropriate location on the stand base. For lumbar exams, place each foot on a dotted line. For knee exams, place the foot of the leg of interest on the center of the dotted line with the heel touching the solid line in the back. For foot/ankle exams, place the appropriate foot in the center of the field on the solid line. Press and hold the SmartMove button on the wireless remote control (along with the Dead Man Grip (DMG) ) on the back to move the system into the start position. Monitor for any collisions. 5. Ensure the anatomy is centered laterally. If necessary, adjust the tube height using the remote control by selecting the tube button and using the blue buttons to raise or lower the tube. For other adjustments, move the patient. 6. Press and hold the SmartMove button to start the 3D test run. Continue to monitor for collisions. 7. Ensure the anatomy is centered. Adjust the patient if necessary. Press the SmartMove button again to complete the test run. Hold until prompted to disengage. Continue to monitor for collisions. 8. Press and hold the SmartMove button to complete the 3D test run. Continue to monitor for collisions. 9. In the control room, use any exposure button (on the console, hand switch*, back of Multi- function Joystick*, or fluoroscopy pedal*) to start acquisition by pressing the button and holding it throughout the entire duration of the scan. Once the scan is complete, use either the SmartMove button to move the system into the transfer position or the lower left purple button to move to the start position to repeat the scan. 11.
