MR Shut down & Restart – Biograph mMR Job Aid MR Shut down & Restart – Biograph mMR Job Aid This job aid provides guidance on how to perform a shutdown and reboot for routine maintenance. This Job Aid is applicable to the Biograph mMR System. Siemens Healthineers MR Customer Service recommendations: • Siemens Healthineers recommends that the MR System be shut down daily. • After shutdown (System Off), leave the MR System off for 10-15 minutes before rebooting the MR system. (i.e., ensures PEC cabinet is completely shutdown) • Perform a PET QC at the start of the day once the system is booted and operational. Important Notes: 1. Standby (NOT recommended) a. Do not use Standby to fix communications issues on the Biograph mMR system. You will lose the sync with the GIM/ACS/PRS CPUS on the PEC cabinet. 2. Shutting down the computer system – shut down of the computer system, host computer, MR scanner, and MaRS (Measurement and Reconstruction System). • Save all patient and postprocessing data at the syngo Acquisition Workplace. • Close all workflows, examinations, and applications. • Disconnect coils on the patient table (not mandatory for the Spine coil). • Patient table must be in the home position (table up and completely out of the bore).  Once the operating system and all programs are shutdown, you must switch off the measurement system via the alarm box.  Ensures that the MaRS processor boots up when you start the system. System Shutdown 1. On the access bar, click System > End Session. Wait until for the System message: Safe to turn the IEMENS System Off (amber light seen on monitor). 5. Press the SYSTEM OFF button on the alarm box. TO REMOVE FIELD System Startup at the Alarm Box (System On) – process if Biograph mMR System is shutdown. • After shutdown (System Off), leave the Biograph mMR System off for 10-15 minutes be- fore rebooting. This ensures the PEC cabinet is completely shut down. • Disconnect coils on the patient table (not mandatory for the Spine coil). • Patient table must be in the home position. (table up and completely out of the bore). • Perform a PET QC once the system is booted and operational. 1. On the Alarm Box, turn the key switch to the right (skip step if key switch was on). SIEMENS 2. Press the SYSTEM ON button on the alarm box. 3. The SYSTEM ON LED lights up and the MR system is TO REMOVE FIELD switched ON. 4. The software automatically starts at the syngo Acquisition Workplace. a. Biograph mMR boot process can ≥15 minutes. 2 O 5.
