MR Brain Spectroscopy Manual Shim - Numaris X
This Job Aid reviews workflow steps to perform MR Brain Spectroscopy manual shim adjustments.
MR Brain Spectroscopy Manual Shim – Numaris X Job Aid MR Spectroscopy Manual Shim – Numaris X Job Aid The shim quality is important for MR Spectroscopy examinations. The goal is to decrease the Full Width at Half Maximum (FWHM) and increase T2*. • If automatic adjustments produce a satisfactory FWHM as specified in the ranges listed below, no further interaction needed. • If the automatic adjustment is not satisfactory, then interactive shim can be used to improve examination results. MR Brain Spectroscopy – Ideal Shim (FWHM) values 1. SVS – FWHM Range a. 1.5T = <13 Hz b. 3T = <20 Hz 2. CSI – FWHM Range a. 1.5T = <20 Hz b. 3T = <25 Hz MR Brain Spectroscopy – Manual Adjustment 1. Register a Patient for a MR Brain Spectroscopy examination. a. Plan the measurement > Select GO 2. Review Confirm Frequency Adjustment Results a.
