MM Radiation Therapy Image Suite (RTiS) - 4D Acquisition

RTiS 4D Spilt Series & Create Average, MaxMIP, MinMIP Series MM Radiation Therapy Image Suite (RTiS) VA40 Sim&GO VA40 and syngo.via VB60 Performing 4D Respiratory Gating scans can give the clinician tools to evaluate tumor motion. Phase gating is a typical 4D acquisition method. Some Treatment Planning Systems need the phases split into individual phase folders while other systems prefer all phases in a single folder and will bind phases themselves. 4D scans can be evaluated at the time of scanning using the RTiS program. Note: RTiS needs the series split for evaluation. Somaris 7 and Somaris 10 scanner software can Split Series and create Average and/or MIPs (Maximum or Minimum Intensity Projections). Note: The following examples use phase-based reconstructions. Split Series into Individual Folders for Evaluation 1. After acquiring a 4D scan, load the series into the RTiS workflow. 2. In the Series panel, press the caret symbol next to the phase series to expand the list to show individual phase folders. 3. An attempt to left mouse click and drag any of the phase folders will result in a popup box indicating that the series must be split before loading. On the Navigation Panel on the left side, use the caret to select the 4D and MR Data Management tab. Selecting the Split Series icon will generate a new popup box. If multiple 4D scans are available, verify that the correct series is listed in the Select Study box. The system will generate a 10-phase split series. Select OK to split the series. Note: This scan was designed to create 10 phases, 0% - 90%. If different increments are desired, create a new reconstruction on the scanner with the applicable increments.
