MAMMOMAT B.brilliant - Tomosynthesis workflow (USA)
This video gives you practical insights of MAMMOMAT B.brilliant and its tomosynthesis workflow, highlighting how it improves accuracy and clarity in breast imaging for more effective early detection.
Target group: All users
Audio: Yes
Recommended to be viewed on the following devices: Laptop, desktop computer (sufficiently large display required)
With the tomosynthesis workflow, 3 dimensional information is obtained by taking exposures from different angles. This reduces the tissue overlap problem, which limits diagnosis in conventional mammography. In tomosynthesis, the X-ray tube rotates in an angular range for several X-rays from different directions. During Atoma synthesis acquisition, the swivel arm covers an angular range from plus 25° to -25° it. Acquires. 25. Views in total, Each of these single exposures uses a very low dose this. Set of two-dimensional X-ray images creates 3D information which allows the reconstruction of the volume of the breast. When you register a patient, select the required Tomo study, the selected Tomo procedure appears. In the procedure list. On the Open Patient subtest card, check the. Projection sequence preset for the procedure in the projection view or PV sequence list. In our video, the. Auto enable. First PV. Function is active. Hence the first PV is automatically active, shown by the yellow color of the icon. The system has also loaded the detector parameters if the. First, PV is not automatically active. Activate the Tomo exposure by double clicking the CC projection view icon. In the images subtask. Card check the. Exposure parameters and adapt them if necessary. You can adjust the parameters in the Acquisition subtask card. You can see the acquisition mode and reconstruction parameter group RPG for the selected procedure. If required, select a different or customized RPG. After the acquisition, you can do a reconstruction with a different RPG. Inform the patient about the details of the examination procedure. The patient should know about the required time and the automatic movement of the swivel arm. Position the patient and the breast according to the selected projection view. Next, you compress the breast. The breast must remain compressed until all exposures of the first PV are done. Lower the compression plate. Compress the breast with a force of at least 30 Newton to prevent the breast from moving. The PV icon turns white once you have compressed the breast. Please note we recommend using Opcom for tomosynthesis acquisitions. Do not expose patients with implants or patients who recently have had breast surgery to Opcom. Procedures with optos for Tomo implant are available. The comfort guide display indicates that the system is ready. Press the. Ready button on the operation keys. The tube unit moves to the Tomo start position, press and hold. The exposure button on the control box as long as the signal is audible. The tube unit moves automatically during acquisition. The system releases radiation to acquire 25 Tomo images. Check the results of the exposure in the Images subtask card of the Examination task card. You can see the individual projection views in sequence. The reconstructed slices are displayed on the acquisition workstation monitor. After acquiring the last image, the tube remains in the end position. The paddle lifts automatically after each acquisition. While the system is post processing the images of the first acquisition, you can start the second acquisition you. Acquire LCC in the same manner as RCC after completing the 2nd projection view. Press the. Ready button to move the tube. Come press the breast again for the RMLO. As soon as the icon turns white, you can press the exposure button on the control box again. The tube moves to acquire the set of images. Repeat the same steps for the LMLO exposures. The paddle lifts automatically once the exposure is completed. To move the tube unit to the 0° position, press the Ready button again. In Tomo you can switch between views in the sidebar. The First view, Insight 2D and Slices views are. Available in the Slices view, you can scroll. Through the slices on the Tomo Subdus card, you can also select the Inside 2D in Slices views. When you click the auto icon, the Movie properties window opens. Select. The play icon to see a movie of the slices. You can reconstruct A Tomo scan by right clicking the appropriate PV in the images card and selecting Reconstruct Tomo Scan. A dialogue box opens. Choose the appropriate flavor. And the reconstruction parameter group name from the drop down list. You can also choose the appropriate Insight 2D flavor from the drop down list. If you want to reconstruct the Insight 3D, follow the same steps, then press OK. If we now look at the PV, you can see that the image impression has changed and that the reconstruction is Premium 1. The slices in the Tomo volume that we didn't reconstruct have a different image impression with different window values.
