Maintenance and Restart Procedure SOMATOM go. & SOMATOM X Family This document will outline the recommended restart protocol for SOMATOM go. & SOMATOM X Family of systems. Guidelines: • Restart System/reboot – Once every 24 hours ** • System Checkup – Prompted after Start Up or Restart of system, includes Checkup and ini- tial Calibration. Once every 24 hours • Calibration – Second Calibration is required approximately 60 minutes after initial system checkup regardless of continuous or intermittent scanning. Repeat Calibration if ring arti- facts are present or change in room temperature/humidity conditions. • DO NOT CLICK “DON’T SHOW THIS AGAIN” • Shut Down System – A full shutdown is not required but can be performed in the event of prolonged periods of time when system will not be used (6 hours or longer/overnight) or in the event of system issues not resolved by a restart. ** Please see the instructions listed below in this document. Note: Every system is different. Please refer to the Instructions for Use Manual for your specific system and software version and follow instructions from the Clinical Service Engineer (CSE) and/or your Service Customer Care Team. System Startup Successful startup means that the system connects power to all system components such as com- puters, the table, and the gantry. Full functionality is guaranteed when the Home screen is dis- played and the keys on the control box light up. The On/Off button in the gantry Connector Box located in the right gantry stand will turn on the system. Note: If a wall switch is installed, there is an On/Off button to power the scanner. The line connection box (LCB) power switch is also an option.
