Dr. Jecko Thachil, MD is an honorary consultant in haemostasis and thrombosis at Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital and clinical academic professor of infection and global health at the University of Manchester, UK. He is a member of the Subcommittee on Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation of the International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis and is the editor of the journal Physicians' Information and Education Resource for the American College of Physicians. He is the author of more than 70 publications in specialized journals and co-author of the guideline on DIC of the British Committee for Standards in Hematology.
