Lateral Plane syngo DynaCT Job Aid Lateral Plane syngo DynaCT allows the system to perform Dyna3D and DynaCT acquisitions with the Lateral plane (B plane). • Can fuse with Floor stand (A plane) imaging and then be used for intraprocedural plan- ning, guidance, 3D overlay, and clinical workflows. • 2D/3D Registration/Fusion must be performed on A plane to use 3D volumes acquired from B plane. • 3D Overlay Functions are not available on the B plane. 1. Move Lateral plane (B plane) to working area – on touch screen of Pilot Control Module select C-arm Positions  System Positions  choose any Biplane Position. • Lateral Plane syngo DynaCT can be performed with B Plane in Angio position or Card Position. Select dedicated 3D protocol for 3D acquisition with Lateral plane (B plane) – on touch screen of Pilot Control Module select Examination  Acquisition Protocol  Select a protocol with [B]. 4. Position the region of interest in the isocenter. To do so, follow the instructions in the message bar. • If B plane longitudinal position needs to be adjusted, deselect 3D protocol, move B plane to the desired position, and reselect the 3D protocol. • Only perform Fluoro using B plane fluoro. A plane fluoro will not be blocked. 5. Drive C-arm to the start position by pressing the joystick down and deflect it away from you. • Only perform Fluoro using B plane fluoro. A plane fluoro will not be blocked. 6. Perform 3D test run by pressing the joystick down and deflect it away from you. During the test run, make sure that no collisions will occur. 7. Perform a brief fluoroscopy on B plane fluoro pedal, for automatic setting of acquisition parameters. • A Plane fluoro will not be blocked. 8. Perform 3D acquisition from the handswitch or foot pedal. • Radiation of A plane will be blocked during 3D acquisition.
