
Introduction to syngo® MI Apps (e.soft) -Part 5-Patient Browser and Data Management
This web based training is designed to provide the SPECT and SPECT•CT user with the syngo® MI Apps (e.soft) workstation used in SPECT and SPECT•CT imaging. It is geared toward the learner who is new to Siemens MI Apps, giving them a basic foundation into the terms used in the software, navigation of the user interface and knowledge of how it will work into their current clinical workflow. Part 5 of this training, syngo® MI Apps will provide instruction on how to register a patient and how to navigate the syngo Patient Browser to manage the patient database.
By the end of the training, the learner will be able to:

- Demonstrate the steps to register a patient
- Demonstrate the steps on how to manage patient data, such as exporting, transferring and deleting.

Click Patient Register button or Pull down Patient menu and select the Register menu item Enter the following fields: Last Name Patient ID Date of Birth Sex Study Click EXAM to complete the registration Refresh the MI Apps Database Registering an Existing Patient Click Patient Register button or Pull down Patient menu and select the Register menu item When the Patient Registration window opens, click the Search button. When the Patient Search window appears, locate the desired patient and select OK. When the information populates on the Patient Registration window, click EXAM. Select each tab below to learn more. Pull down the Patient menu item and select Browser or, press the Patient Browser key on your keypad or, click the Patient Browser icon on the Command Module 1 - Window Center +/- 2- Scrolling Study +/- 3 - Scrolling Series +/- 4 - Scrolling Image +/- 5 - Patient Registration 6- Browser 7- Window Width +/- 8 - Configurable 9- Send to Node 1 10- Correct Mark 11- Copy to Film Sheet 1. Open up the Patient Browser 2. Highlight the Scheduler icon in the tree. 3. Pull down View Update Worklist. 4. Highlight the Patient at either the Patient or Study Level. 5. Double left click 6. Select the workflow from the Worklist Manager and click OK. 7. The study will then be pended in the Workflow Manager ready to launch. The Patient Browser and Database Management Open up the Patient Browser Pull down the Patient menu item and select Browser or, press the Patient Browser key on your keypad or, click the Patient Browser icon on the Command Module 1 - Window Center +/- 2- Scrolling Study +/- 3 - Scrolling Series +/- 4 - Scrolling Image +/- 5 - Patient Registration 6- Browser 7- Window Width +/- 8 - Configurable 9- Send to Node 1 10- Correct Mark 11- Copy to Film Sheet Select each tab below to learn more. Data Levels Patient Level / Study Level Series Level Instance Level Select each tab below to learn more. 1. Insert media 2. Select patient, study or series to archive 3. Transfer > Export To, or Export To Icon Transfer > Eject from DVD (or CD) Transfer > Eject Finalized from DVD (or CD) Eject From icons Sending Patient Data to Another Node 1. Open the Patient Browser 2. Highlight the patient, study or series you would like to send. 3. Pull down Transfer > Send To… Or 4. Select the Send To icon in the toolbar. Transfer > Local Job Status job status icon network job status icon Select each tab below to learn more. Correcting Data at the Patient Level 1. Highlight at the Patient Level 2. Pull down Edit > Correct 3. Correct window opens 4. White fields can be corrected. 5. Click OK. 6. Refresh database. Correcting Data at the Study Level 1. Highlight at the Study Level 2. Pull down Edit > Correct 3. Correct window opens 4. White fields can be corrected. 5. Click OK. 6. Refresh database. Correcting Data at the Series Level 1. Highlight at the Series Level 2. Pull down Edit > Correct 3. Correct window opens 4. White fields can be corrected. 5. Click OK. 6. Refresh database. Deleting Patient Data 1. Select the Patient, Study or Series 2. Edit > Delete Or 3. Select the Delete icon 4. Click Yes or No to the confirmation Cutting and Pasting Patient Data 1. Select the Study or Series to cut 2. Edit > Cut 3. Locate the Patient or Study folder to paste to 4. Edit > Paste Protect 1. Edit > Protect 2. Edit > Remove Protection Select each tab below to learn more. Preset Filters 1. Not Archived, 2. Not Printed 3. Not Sent 4. Not Marked 5. Marked Creating New Filters 1. Options > Filter Settings 2. Select filter criteria 3. Enter the filter name 4.
