IMMULITE® 2000 XPi Immunoassay System Replacing a Probe Video

To replace either the sample or reagent probe on the Emulite 2000 XPI system, first remove the old probe. Start by removing the probe tubing from the retaining clip on the reagent or sample probe arm column. Next, unscrew the probe from the arm mount and lift the probe out of the arm. Then follow the probe tubing to find where the other end of the tubing attaches to the manifold block. Unscrew the tan fitting that's attached to the black probe extension on the manifold block. The old probe should be properly discarded. Attach the tan fitting on the new probe to the black probe extension on the manifold block. Ensure that the fitting is secure. Next, insert the probe into the arm mount and tighten securely. Verify the tubing is on the left side of the sample or reagent arm. Finally, secure the tubing into the probe tube retaining clip on the sample or reagent arm column. Take care to prevent twisting or kinking the probe tubing.
