
How to use the Performance Assistant

In this video you will learn more about the Performance Assistant. The Performance Assistant enriches the analytical capabilities of team play usage with functionalities to support an improvement process. It comprises the identification of improvement items, the monitoring of the applied measures and the documentation. In this example, we focus on the examination duration deviation. When you open the Performance Assistant, an overview of the improvement items is displayed. If procedure types of certain scanners have potential for improvement regarding exam duration, they are automatically detected by the team play algorithms and displayed in the findings list. If certain scanners are significantly slower on specific procedure types, this is a finding and is also displayed in the list. The findings list is displayed in the potential view. It shows an estimation of the improvement potential of every item. If you want to follow up on an automatically detected finding, move the individual finding to the candidates list. If you would like to obtain more details about a finding before moving it to the candidates list, click it. The finding opens in a detailed view. The Procedure Type Distribution graph shows how frequently certain procedures are performed on a particular scanner. Our example shows a very frequent examination type. The duration of this exam type is around 22 minutes. Even minor improvements can lead to significant time savings. Therefore, it is worth following up on this finding. To do so, move it to the candidates list. The next finding in the list is then automatically loaded. You decide whether you want to follow up on it by moving it to the candidates list. If you do not want to, you can put it in the trash. Let's return to the overview board. The candidates list shows deviations of the exam duration for certain examination types and scanners. You can move them to the candidates list either out of the scanner analytics operation or from the findings list. Let's continue with our head examination which we have just moved to the candidates list. Again, you can see the most frequent procedure types and the performance frequency compared with other scanners of the institution. Define your measures by describing your root cause, hypothesis and what actions you are planning to take. There is also a simple conversation functionality where the user can enter questions to other colleagues or clarify certain issues. The conversation is stored together with its item. You can return to the conversation at any time to follow up on it. After applying the activities and taking measures to improve the examination duration, start monitoring the examination duration median across all scanners can serve as a reference value for the goal you want to reach. Define the monitoring start date. As soon as you start monitoring, the improvement candidate is automatically moved over to the monitors list. Here you can see how much time has passed since then. If you want to obtain details on the monitoring part, you just click it. A dedicated view opens showing a goal line and you can see all the notes taken. You can continue typing conversations, comments and ideas, or provide feedback on image quality. If you want to obtain more insights, you can open the exam list which shows you the examinations exactly reflecting these numbers. As soon as you have achieved your goal, stop monitoring, select whether your measures were successful or not and comment on your result. The improvement candidate is automatically moved to the done list. There you will find the monitoring result and the referring documentation. The trash list displays all findings that you once tagged as trash. If you change your opinion, you can easily move findings from the trash back to the candidates list.
