How to use CT Simulator Tools on SmartSimulator Video

Welcome to the training on how to use the Siemens healthineers CT simulator on Smart Simulator. In this video you will learn how to use the CBT simulator tools. There are two. Simulator tools available to define some settings at the simulator. The Contoh Bo menu. And the simulator configuration panel. Both tools can be hidden at the left edge of the window. Please note that the simulator tools exist only on the simulator software helping. You to configure the system so that you can go through the examination workflow on the smart simulator with. Clinical image data. These tools are not available on the real CT scanner. After startup of the simulator system, the Kintobor menu is already opened in the user interface. You can click the minimize icon to hide this menu. You can hover the mouse over the blue color area to display the icon. And click the icon to reopen this menu if you want. There is another orange icon called Display Simulator. Clicking on it, you can open the simulator configuration panel. If you don't want to display the configuration panel and kintobor menu in the user interface, please don't close them. Always minimize the windows. Doing so, they will be parked in the left lower edge of the window where you can call them U at anytime. In case Kintobor menu is closed, it will be reopened automatically in a few seconds. In case the simulator window is closed. You can reopen it by selecting simulator in Kintobor menu. Please keep in mind if the simulator configuration panel is closed, you may not be able to complete the entire examination workflow on the system. You can of course move the tools window by drag and drop. Now let's have a look what we can do with the menus in kintobor. First click. The examination icon to go to the scheduler. As it is a newly created session, the work list is empty. Click on add new patients menu from the kintobor. The system will randomly. Create 5. Patients in the work list for examination. Click on the Explorer menu. This will open the Windows File Explorer. Here you can manage any imported or exported data files, for example, image, data scan protocol files, etc. You can access to the share folders with the name of your e-mail address. Here you can transfer files between the simulator and your local PC. Clicking the exam designer menu from the Kintobor will directly open the exam designer in a separate window without logging in as a clinical administrator. It has the same functionalities as when it is opened from the system configuration menu. Clicking on the license file menu, you can open and view the license file. You can block any license as you want. But please. Only do so when you are familiar with the license file. Otherwise it may cause unpredictable issues with the simulator system. There is another very useful menu on the kintobor called scan and go. This is where you can access the. Tablet user interface. On the simulator console here you can experience the. Mobile scan workflow. We also have patient marking simulator menu where you can simulate the error messages of the laser with the radiation oncology systems such as the Goen Pro and go SIM. The last menu in Kintobor is run some erris initiate. Please only use this in case of software problems. It will take. About 3 minutes to restart the single CT software. If this process takes longer than five minutes, please restart the simulator session from Smart Simulator website. Click reboot. Icon wait a few minutes after the simulator has restarted. You can click on connect. Now let's have a look what we can do with the simulator configuration panel. Click the orange icon to access the tool. In this tool you will mainly use the body image area. Please make sure the green activated tag is displayed. If not, click the a icon to activate the body image. In Tomogram parameter there is always a default clinical image data set selected. The system uses this data to create a fake volume and is placed on the virtual patient table for. The examination. Clicking the three dot icon you can select your desired image data from the pool. Click OK and the alley icon. The system will now load the. Data set. It can take U to. A few minutes to. Load the series depending on the size of the selected data set. You can upload your own data set from the same platform and use it for an examination on the simulator. The bolus image parameter is an option to set UA. Data set which. Will be used in the bolus tracking procedure. You can switch this data set in the same way as the tomogram parameter. But here, please only use a monitoring image data set. Now it. Comes to a very. Important step. Before you start any toe. Program scan in the examination. You need to make sure the. Table is positioned. At the start position of the selected virtual patient. To do this please. Always click on the auto position Tomo start icon. There are a few other. Tab cards you may be interested in. For example, in the cardio config card you can define a. Specific heart rate of the. ECG signal. Enter a new value in the pulse rate field, then select the alley icon to activate it. In the injector configuration card, you may need to select the checkbox for injector connected. Doing this, you can use the injector coupling option for contrast. Examinations. Clicking on the open bolus injector window icon, you can open the virtual injector control panel. By clicking on Enable you can then arm the injector. This is for use during the examination procedure when an injection is needed. You can open many control devices on the simulator. Opening the dropdown list you can select control box remote control as well as many other control. Devices. Please be aware that the buttons in the virtual control devices are all fully functional. For example, if you hit the button of the emergency power off wall switch, it will indeed switch off the system and have the same behavior as in a real environment. To remove the control devices from the screen, right mouse click on the device and select hide. There are a lot of other settings in the simulator panel which are not relevant for your usage. Please don't touch them if you are not sure what they are for. When you have finished with all the settings, Please remember not to close the simulator configuration panel window, but to only minimize it.
