This training guides you through simulations, to demonstrate how to handle challenging situations, when scanning a patient. In addition, some hints are provided for ensuring patient comfort. Your patient needs immediate support | Stop the examination Your patient needs assistance | Pause the examination Your patient is not collaborative | Shorten the workflow Your patient feels uncomfortable | Adapt patient comfort settings Training Overview Audio: Click on any of the following challenging situations, to start a simulation that will guide you through this particular workflow. Navigation Help Select the icon above to open the table of contents. Click Next to continue. Next Welcome Slide The timeline displays the slide progression. Slide the orange bar backwards to rewind the timeline. Click Next to continue. Next Timeline Select Submit to record your response. Click the X in the upper right corner to exit the navigation help. Assessment Slide Immediate Patient Support Stop an Examination Simulation Imagine: Your patient needs immediate help and you cannot wait for the end of the current examination step. The examination must be stopped immediately. This simulation will guide you through the typical steps to manage this situation. ? Interrupt the examination Audio: The Stop button can be used at any time. It has immediate effect on the running step, and is only used in cases when immediate action is needed. Click on Stop, to interrupt the exam immediately. Please click on Stop to continue. The scan is stopped. You have two options now, depending on the condition of the patient: 1. After support, the patient is in condition to continue the examination. You can restart the exam and complete it. 2. The patient cannot continue the exam. In this case, you can delete the remaining steps and move to the Summary page for image sending and exam finalization. In this example, we will repeat the step. Click on the stopped step to open the details area. Open the Details area Audio: The scan is stopped. You have two options now, depending on the condition of the patient: First: After support, the patient is in condition to continue the examination. You can restart the exam and complete it. Second: The patient cannot continue the exam. In this case, you can delete the remaining steps, and move to the Summary page for image sending and exam finalization. Click on Repeat Scan, to append the step to be repeated and start the examination again. Please click on Repeat Scan to continue. The stopped step is repeated and you can finalize the examination. Pause is applied Audio: The Pause is added after the currently running step. That means, the step will be finished first and then, the workflow is paused. Please note: If the patient has moved during the pause, repeat an Auto Align Localizer first. In this example, just click on Pause again to proceed with the examination. Proceed with the examination Audio: The pause is now activated and you can help the patient. When you and the patient are ready to continue, you can click on Pause again to proceed. Please note: If the patient has moved during the pause, repeat an Auto Align Localizer first. In this example, just click on Pause again, to proceed with the examination. Please click on Pause to continue. Examination is restarted Audio: The next step in the workline is started and you can continue the workflow as planned. Congratulations! Open the Exam Settings Audio: To change comfort settings, you can enter the Exam Settings anytime. Changes are automatically adopted without confirmation. Click on Exam Settings.
